Half way through the year.....learned your card yet?

If my calcuations are correct July 1st is the halfway point of the year, and I was wondering if anyone had learned their lesson for this year yet? Earlier this year we had a few threads learning how to find your card and try to figure out what it had in store for you. I thought it would be cool to swap stories on how we have been affected by our cards and how our experience has brought us closer to tarot. I dont think i've learned my card yet. My card for this year is the Hierophant. I cant tell for sure how is this supossed to affect. All I can say is this year i've started learning tarot and returned my interest for more spiritual matters, philosophy and human behaviour. Joined Aeclectic too. :) But since the Hierophant is a card about learning, i still need to learn lot of things. And i know i really need to do it in many subjects of my life. This first half of the year has been very hard, hope i can find more peace on next months. Maybe i still need to find my Hierophant, my teacher, or maybe just life is being the teacher itself. But thanks for the reminder. Will take a look at this card again!!

Just read through the previous posts. Am completely confused about how to find my life teacher card though. Does anyone on this thread know how to work it out? My birthday is 16th March 1972. Any help much appreciated. Yaboot

Yaboot001: If i dont remember bad, you find your soul card by adding your birthdate this way: __16 ___3 1972 ------- 1991 = 1+9+9+1= 20 --> Judgement The teacher/shadow was found by splitting combinations of numbers on the result. But im not sure if your card should be reduced to 2 (2+0=2) first or not. Hope someone other can help better. Sorry, cant remember now. The year card is your day of birth + month of birth+current year: __16 ___3 2003 ------- 2022= 2+0+2+2= 6 --> The Lovers --> This is your card for this year.

That's awsome ruby!! This year is the Judgement card for me. So far I recieved a suprise visit from an old friend; I've been accused of being judgemental; and I've returned to an old job I "thought" I hated. So I've got the literal and the interpretive sides of the card, and I have a feeling that another leg is going to drop sometime soon.

I hadn't identified my year card before...now I understand why this year's been such a merry-go-round. Wheel of f Fortune, what else? At the moment, I feel as if I'll be lucky to keep my wits about me as the scenery goes whizzing by. Just standing up straight's a bit of a struggle. I hope next year will bring me something more peaceful...maybe a quiet cave to hibernate in. If I make it through!

Well, I figured out that my year card is "Death" (thank you Moongold for the help), and it has proven to be very accurate. My mother passed away earlier this year, so I am dealing with death on a very literal level. I was actually taken aback a little when I realized that was my year card for 2003. missmezzo

This is a Lovers Year for me. Well...I'm waiiiiitiiiiing! ;) Actually I figure this is a year of choices for me, when I have to make some decisions that I've really been a wuss about making. This is an Emperor year for me (cool thread BTW, thanks for reminding me to think about this again). And yes, structure, overseeing things, looking at both the big picture to determine goals and the small details to facilitate reaching those goals, has been a big part of this year so far.

The Hanged Man is the card for my year - and yes I have one issue taking the other where I seem to hang - lot of pain and new found insight that will hopefully make me wiser and more understanding.

This year's card is the empress . If I take the "waiting" aspect of this , then yes , it applies ! Infact ( counts) it will be almost 9 months of waiting before the "event" . So spot on ! Wonder if I'll get the flowers and bunches of grapes too ?

well i am lovers personnality card ....... and this year is also lovers. what does this mean?? I don't know. I am single .... with nothing on the horizon ..... but who knows?? I have actually been dedicated lots of time and attentian on my 'soul pleasures' (interests etc) - I am at the stage of thinking - i owe it to the world to make the most of my life and myself .... feed my soul etc. all i need now is prince charming!! However .... in my astro chart - my soul life mission is in the house of marriage and partnerships, so it seems to be my goal in life to find my soul mate. i tend to think it will happen later in my life for some reason (i am 27)

Do the Year cards run from birthday to birthday? If so my card for this year, up until my August birthday would be The Hierophant then after August it will be changed into The Lovers. I'm still trying to learn the lessons The Hierophant is trying to teach me lol. I'm not sure if this method is mentioned in Mary Greers book or if it is something I've picked up somewhere else but I do remember reading somewhere that the year cards should run from birthday to birthday, If not could someone put me right because if I'm doing it wrong I'd rather know, thanks :D

I am a chariot and this year is chariot too. So it makes me triple 7 this year. In fact, through the months, I have slowly grown to figure out what it really meant in my life. I have controlled my every single step in my life. Never giving up though no hope is left. Pushing myself to the limits even though when I knew that it freaks me out. In fact, being a charioteer is good. Never allow any obstacles surmount over you. Facing it all alone and plucking up courage to handle any kind of danger coming your way. Somehow I wonder, does the year enriches the strength of the chariot when it aligns with our soul cards? Cheers to all charioteers~

I am a double 7 - Chariot as personality and soul card and I'm currently in the year of the Hermit. I decided this year to pay attention to the interior voice, however that might present itself. The Voice? What did it mean? What was it even. I thought I had a mind to think things through, pursue things rationally and so on. I didn't really know how my interior voice presented itself. Well one way is this... It is the odd little thought that dances across my mind, so fast sometimes that I can miss it. That is its most common appearance. It is an ironic little voice and frequently laughs at me - sometimes :) sometimes :laugh: When I stay with it, take its hand, it will lead me to some honest information. This can be so refreshing. Another presentation is in meditation, or most commonly after meditation, as I'm coming up from that deep space the odd little thought presents itself again. The odd little thought can critique my actions and motivations. More positively , it suggests another course of action or gives me insight that can affect what I do. So I am becoming more reflective too, listening for those quiet revelations. The odd little thought is not separate. It comes from a part of me that I shelved away for a long time and I am becoming more aware of this part of me, nestling it closely lest it disappear again. This is one thing that my Hermit has shown me this year. There are a few others. I'll come back and share again later but would love to hear more from others.

Yaboot, I'm not sure what you mean by Life Teacher card... do you mean your shadow card? I tried to do a search on that particular term and didn't find anything. Emily, I use the birthday to birthday method... so from last June to this June was a Chariot year, and this June to next June is a Strength year for me. Some people start the year off in January. I'm not sure that it makes too much of a difference. One thing I think might happen though is that when you get to within 3 months or so each way (before and after your birthday) that you could be feeling the influence of both cards... waxing and waning, you know? So, not sure if I learned any lessons. But I started new projects and learned new things last year. And I've had to hold my own against some scary stuff so far, but not too sure about conquering my demons yet... maybe I'll postpone that for later in the year, lol. R :)

Just did a bit of maths and calculated Personality, Soul and Year Cards, as well as the Hidden Factor, for my friends. I got one (for me) surprising result: Sum 1 (month, day and year of birth): 24 Therefore: Personality Card: Lovers Soul Card: Lovers Hidden Factor/Teacher Card: Devil (Person is over 30) Sum 2 (month, day and current year): 6 Therefore: Year Card: Lovers Could that mean something special in this person's life to have such a concentration of the Lovers Card? And what I also find very interesting: The combination Lovers/Devil.

Well, my soul card is the hierophant... although I think I have a little of hierophant (love giving advices and try to resolve everybody's problems, LOL) I don't relate myself very much with it... maybe I still have to look deep inside me, or something. As for the year card, is the hanged man, and this one has hited the nail... I don't know why, but this year I'm trying to see things from a different prespective, and always try to resolve my problems by seeing everything from all sides. By the way, now that I'm talking about this, for the last few months I've been feeling really drawn to the Hanged Man, I dunno why (maybe now I know). Anjo

Have I learned my lesson yet? Hmm. Well....I dont think the lesson of growing and maturing never ends...becuz it's just a life long lesson coming up every day. But I think I have become a better leader/person in general. Examples: Drivers ed, I got a C+ in driving when another girl in my car got a B- even tho she went into a big BIG pothole on purpose on the night drive. Instead of telling my driving instructor off and telling him I think he's a flamming idiot...I didn't do/say anything. Had this been a year ago, the fire in me would have got the best of me and I would have yelled at him. Or maybe when I didn't get band section leader. Instead of being upset and such, I saw it as a blessing and an escape. Turns out my decision was to leave...had I been section leader I probably wouldn't have been able to do that. I think I'm a better decision maker than I was. I'll always be somewhat indecisive...but I think I'm getting better at making those important decisions. ~Much Love~ ~Sarah~

bday is 11/18/1976 soul and personality and year card: 7 - chariot teacher card: 16 - tower chariot - this year i'm applying for a job overseas. i'm still torn between leaving my wife and daughter and pursuing a better-paying job. I REALLY NEED TO LEARN THE CHARIOTEER'S WAYS. tower: knowing myself, i believe i have learned the lesson of handling and making the most out of "sudden changes". i just wish if i push through with the overseas job that, again, i can overcome the sudden change of being without my family :smoker:

I am certainly making some choices this year, not just doing what I need to survive, but also looking at: what do I really want ?
