*Moderators...Fell free to move this thread if it isn't in the right place. I didn't really knwo where to put it. Thanks*
I've heard that astrological planets have body part assocations (like stomach, ect.). Well...would certain tarot card combinations have the same kind of thing? Is there a card or card combo that might signify a sprained ankle? (I ask this cuz I sprained my ankle pretty bad last night).

punkangel,
Ouch! I've had enough ankle injuries to sympathize totally with you!
As far as physical injury goes, I have a couple of ideas.
Many tarot systems associate The Tower with the planet Mars, which in astrology is the planet of accidents.
The planet Uranus rules ankles. The Fool is often associated with Uranus.
With respect to the minor arcana, I would look to the suit of Pentacles. This suit is concerned with physical experiences. The 5 of Pentacles in particular has associations with ill health.
I will be interested to hear from others on this.

Subtle energy-wise, this could mean you are not up to receiving the pleasures of life. Are you feeling inflexible or guilty over something?
Just something to think about. Remember to take care of yourself and the motion for that begins in the E-motions :)

Crowley gives a correpondence for (ahem) body parts in Liber 777 - Fwiw, It's in Table CLXXXII! or http://www.hermetic.com/crowley/index.html if you can view/print PDF files. Apparently "Legs and Feet" come under the Moon... :)

OK, I was being a bit mean... so since it's quite brief, I typed 'em in. Here they are:
11 Respiratory Organs
12 Cerebral and Nervous Systems
13 Lymphatic System
14 Genital System
15 Head and face
16 Shoulders and Arms
17 Lungs
18 Stomach
19 Heart
20 The Back
21 Digestive System
22 Liver
23 Organs of Nutrition
24 Intestines
25 Hips and Thighs
26 Genital System
27 Muscular System
28 Kidneys and Bladder &c.
29 Legs and Feet
30 Circulatory System
31 Organs of Circulation
32 Excretory System
32 (bis) Excretory Organs, Skeleton
31 (bis) Organs of Intelligence
Note the numbers are Kabbalistic paths, but if you start at the top with the Fool (=11) and work downwards you should arrive at the major arcana correspondences :)

P.S. I think if you do a text search on that page for the string "777" (which is what I did!) But it is in fact book DCCLXXVII with the PDF link :D

"cerebral" refers to the brain
the excretory system removes waste from the body

Can I contribute to this discussion by offering an interesting spread I found in Konraad's Classic Tarot Spreads
It is called Dr. Zodiac and is laid out in the classical Zodiac way. What Forum are we in? Perhaps I'll get away with it?
These are the attributions:
1. Aries: Head and shoulders
2. Taurus: Throat
3. Gemini: Bronchial tubes, collarbone, fingers, arms, nervous system
4. Cancer: Breast, stomach
5. Leo: Heart, side, upper back
6. Virgo: Bowels, solar plexus
7. Libra: Kidneys, lower back
8. Scorpio: Sex organs, pelvis, bladder
9. Sagittarius: Hips, thighs, liver
10. Capricorn: Knees, bony structure
11. Aquarius: Calves, ankles, body fluids
12. Pisces: Feet, psychic faculties
In the Zodiac spread you put 4 cards in the centre which give you a picture of your overall health.
Sarah, if your ankle is badly injured and painful you should perhaps go to a doctor. It may be Mother Nature suggesting you slow down a wee bit, eh? :)
Blessings

Moongold....
That motherly instict kicking in alil bit?? My AEC mommy Moongold! She's always watching out for me. That's why we all love her so much. :)
It's not badly injured...just sprained. The typically klutzy, I can't land properly move. Basketball is a dangerous sport man. I been hit in the face with a BBall, sprained my ankle twice in the past like month.
Probably is a sign I need to slow down a bit...maybe not go after EVERY lose ball. But Moongold, it's the fire instinct in me. That Aries kicking in. Fire's dont let someone else get the ball! How many fires before I spontanously combust?? Hmm...good question. (Sorry yall, astro joke. Even if no-one else thinks it's funny, I do so please just fakey laugh under your breath to simply make me happy. Thanks).
So, my feet are pisces. Hmm. That spread looks interesting...but I don't exactly get how to do it. PM me with more details or something..I'm a bit confuzzled. (I got other people sayin confuzzled too...thats awesome. I feel special).
Yall notice how I use so many ()'s. I cant even spell it. Let's try. Parenthasees. < Hooked on phonics baby!! Woo!!

LOL, punkangel -- At least you can get some respect for the way you got injured. The last time I sprained my ankle I was walking (you heard me, WALKING) downhill on a path...
And how come, if I'm a Sagittarius (fire sign), my first instinct is to duck to avoid the ball and/or step aside to let whoever wants it so bad have it (with my blessing)? :D (I blame it on Virgo rising...sissy, wussy Virgo...)

Hi Sarah,
I used to play netball. Is that the same as basketball? My position was centre and I was good. It was the competitive edge helped along a little by the Sagittarius fire. Brained spankles are par for the course but I never got any. Grazes more the like.
Used to play hockey too and got knocked out playing that once after connecting with a someone elses stick. Loved hockey passionately.
I think you should just play full on and have fun. It sort of balances out after a while and you learn to not get hurt. I don't play sport now by the way....just walk heaps.....but I'm a fiercesomely competitive scrabble player. Burn up the boards in fact.
I think there are so many versions of health attributions in astrology and tarot. They're quite hard to make sense of and they depend on so many other variables. I wouldn't worry about them too much. I did havea quick look at your astro. chart and saw that transiting Saturn is aspecting your natal Neptune in the 1st House and Capricorn. Aquarian Goddess did a thread about this in Astrology so it might be worth having a look at.
I have looked out for you ......yep, because you're new....but I also know you're wildly independent. I think I actually feel quite flattered to be considered as a Mom type :D. Believe me, it's more of an honour than you could possibly imagine.
By the way, one of the younger women at work was even playing some Matchbox 2 the other day. First time I'd heard them.
The place I work for is involved in sponsoring a rock concert for young people next year. Health promotion stuff. So I know a little more about current bands than I would normally but they are still a bit of a mystery

::happy happy dance:: Yay she heard Matchbox 20!! If you ever see a picture of them...the lead guitar and lead singer are the best looking ones ;). The lead guitarist is actually from like 30 miles away from my hometown. I told my friend Jessica this and you wanna know what she said? She said "go visit". I suppose it isn't so funny to yall, but I found it hilarious.
::hugs Moongold:: Yay for Mommy!!
Netball...hmm. Well, if you played centre (I love how yall spell that too, the r before the e thing...it's just awesome)...it might be basketball...cuz there's a center in basketball too. There's like a center, a forward, a pointguard, and like a few other positions I don't know. The pointguard is the person throwing the ball into the hoop and making the shots. You'll have to tell me more about netball to see if it's like basketball.
Hockey is so cool. In gym we played street hockey...and I was pretty good. I was always really aggresive and girls were scared I was gonna hit them with my stick. LOL. Good times.
Scrabble!! I always liked that game...I actually have it. But I was always the person laying down 3 and 4 letter words...I never did too well. But when I was little my mommy would help me. :)
I appreciate you looking out for me. It makes me feel loved. ::hugs:: Wildly independent? Hmm..I guess I am. Maybe I just voice my opinon on everything and cant keep my mouth shut.
Baby Owl-1st...I love your name! It's so cute!! LOL. Walking huh?? Well...at least you weren't sitting down right ;). Must be the Virgo rising. I'm a Libra w/ Sag rising so...maybe it's the air feeding the fire combo. (Dude...did I just make a neato comparison that made sense. Score!!)
Well...I suppose I shouldn't worry too much about my health now...considering I can walk on my right foot again ::the crowd goes wild as I walk down the red carpet::.
~Much Love To Yall~
~Sarah~ / ~Punk Angel~
Yuh know, I should just shorten my name to Punk Angel instead of the gcm437 at the end you know??? I oughtta look into that.
