Three of Pentacles and the Chariot.

Can Three of Pentacles be the opposite of The Chariot?I thought both stood for a good career,or striving for the best. However,in my later spreads Three of Pentacles is something I must avoid,and The Chariot is the card of advice.

i learned to see the three of pentacles as the card of the master craftsman , and the chariot as the controling ambition to travel the world to affect it. so the way i see it is, the cards are suggesting to you to avoid the status quo , and strive to be of more ambition and to control where you are going to put your energies. you are a master right now at your current level and if you stay confident and say that i am good at this level you will stagnant yourselve and wonder what is it all for ? the chariot is not in opposing the three of pentacles but rather suggesting it is time to extend the three of pentacles as that is your next step.

Genna: The spreads you are talking about, are they specifically spreads about your career?

Genna, in addition to Holmes' perspective of the 3 of Pentacles as a master craftsman, I've come to understand this card as representing appreciation, gratitude and reward for the inherent value of your service. And the Chariot, to me, usually signifies a desire to move in a new direction, expand and explore especially where your "home base" and family relationships are concerned. Could you possibly be advised not to stay where you are just for the sake of your job, and encouraged to move outwards, somewhere new?

Thank you so much for your insights,Holmes and Belladonna!I think you are both right.I will have to think about this.I think I´m too comfortable with things as they are,when I really need to learn more to be able to go were I want with my career. No,Diana,the spreads were about a relationship,but the cards seemed to want to tell me about my career instead.
