Cosmic Theatre - free for all.....Yea!

Greetings,

Just after 4.00am this morning the Moon moves into the Sign of Scorpio. As Scorpio is quite a powerful and mysterious sign, it would useful to note this in some way. Well, some might think that noting this activity of the heavens is a little overdone, particularly when it involves Scorpio. And MORE so when the Tarot card for Scorpio is Death.

The movement of the stars and the planets is a wonderful cosmic drama, far outweighing any dreary TV soap. If we were able to keep our eyes on the heavens and the great themes reflected there we might have fewer common day domestic dramas. Some say we might see our own dramas being enacted there, and hide outselves in embarassment :D

Just for one day, let’s look at the current drama unfolding before our eyes. I’ll note just some of the major players in this astrological crossing at 4.34 am with the corresponding Tarot card after the name of the planet. This is only a tableau of what is happening in the heavens but it does involve some fairly major players.

Moon (High Priestess) moves into the sign of Scorpio (Death). This causes the Moon to oppose Mars (Magus) and square Saturn (Universe).

Saturn then trines Sun, opposes Jupiter (Wheel of Fortune), trines Mercury (Magus) and is sextile Uranus (Fool).

And then the Sun opposes Venus (Empress), trines Uranus (Fool), and trines Mars (Tower).

Now, to draw home the power of this interplay, let’s just list all the Tarot players again:

Death, High Priestess, Magus, Universe, Wheel of Fortune, Judgment, Fool. Empress, Tower. And Moon and Sun are at the centre as usual

Imagine doing a spread including all these images, with some of them involved in complex relationships with more than one of the others. That is exactly what is about to happen at 4.34am this morning.

What greater drama could one wish for? :)

Dear Moderator, I thought this post could belong here because of the Tarot cards. Down (or UP) in astrology, we fknow the Tarot but you guys don't often know a great deal about astrology.

So this can be a kind of travelling post then? Thanks heaps.

Walk outside your house tonight and look up at the night sky. Perhaps, if you can, take a picnic box to a hill and sit there quietly opening yourself to the mysteries of the universe. I hope the clouds don’t obscure your view too much. If you are lucky enough you might catch a view of Nuit, Egyptian Goddess of the night as she meets secretly with her brother Geb for their regular assignation. However, that is supposed to be a secret, so let’s concentrate on what else is happening right now.

Can you see the Moon – the magical, ever - changing Moon? She travels around the Sun every month and is our most constant symbol of time. She is so close to earth that we sometimes reach up and almost touch her, and we certainly feel her influence on our bodies, minds and spirits.

Our ancient fathers developed a system of understanding the universe. Perhaps it was revealed to them, I don’t know.

There are various things we need to know if we are to find our way around. The astrological universe is made up of symbolic elements which give every experience energy. Scorpio where we are right now symbolizes water, for example. The other elements are Fire, Air and Earth and all the signs of the zodiac are connected with these elements.

The Planets, like Saturn, the "Heavy" of the Universe, are the channels for energy and represent the types of experiences we will have whilst they are in the various Signs. The houses are the fields of experience. In my chart at the moment, the Moon is in Scorpio in my 12th House, the House of Spiritual Life. As the Planets travel around the Sun, their energies interact act with each other. These relationships are called Aspects, and they may have a definite influence on us. The Signs are the primary energy patterns and indicate the qualities of experience. All the Planets go around the Sun, some like the Earth taking only one year abd others liek Saturn taking just under 30 years. So the stage is immense- almost beyond imagination.

So what is happening right now? This morning the Moon moved into the sign of Scorpio. The Moon is so remarkable she is represented in tarot by two cards: Moon and High Priestess. As tarot lovers you would already know what these two images mean. Now the Moon in black, mysterious Scorpio may push us to deep instinctual experiences. Or we could go "mad" :) If you lok at the Moon card you can see the capacity for madness. And the High Priestess reflects the capacity for insight. Scorpio is a water sign, and deep feelings are always involved here. The potential is for quiet high drama. It's a bit contradictory is it not?

What kind of relationships is the Moon having with other planets in these few days she is Scorpio? Well it looks like quite bit of drama – a cosmic domestic to be truthful. Moon (High Priestess and Moon) opposes Mars (Tower) and squares Saturn (Universe). Oppositions and squares are challenging relationships. Make of this what seems most apparent but you’d almost expect a comet to be set off with this group. It's not a full Moon and the HP might quieten things down a little.

Saturn is a really significant planet for everyone. In tarot XXI Universe represents him. Saturn is the great teacher and he represents the need to create solid and enduring structures so that we can live peaceful and ethical lives. He is definitely an Earth element!

At this very moment, Saturn (Universe) is trining the Sun and the planet Mercury (Magus) and sextiling the planet Uranus (Fool). This means a harmonious relationship between Sun, Magus and Fool. What can you make of that? it could certainly be a good, educational relationship for all.

And the Sun himself? Well, he has a harmonious relationship with Mars (Tower) and Uranus (Fool) but definitely opposes Venus (Empress). What do you make of that? Hmmm…the Fool might act up and make life difficult for others in this cosmic play. Does this remind you of anything right now? I don't think there is necessarily any relationship between the first drama and this one. It is a big universe after all with lots of other things happening and I could be mistaken.

Looking at all the factors in this drama. There is definitely a Fool on the scene stirring things up a bit on the celestial home front. But the home is fairly stable and although the Great Mother is disturbed by the Fool, she realises that he is affected by the Moon in Scorpio at the moment and the structure she has around her are easily strong enough to withstand his curious games. Magus will have a beneficial influence on the Fool in the meantime, and hopefully things will settle down a bit before Moon moves into Sagittarius on Wednesday.

Now i'm a bit short sighted and distracted at the moment so Imight have gotten some of this wrong. There are a whole lot of other aspects occurring across the universe that could have influence and I haven't taken them into account either. Maybe we should watch it over the next few days to see what develops?

I think I coul d do this much better. It requires a little more thought and time but this will have to do for now.
