How do you interpret this card? I don't like the interpretation Osho gives and I don't know what suit it would be in a traditional deck.
Does anyone here interpret it differently?

I interpret it as spiritual growth and the rebirth that this spiritual growth will give someone.
As for the suit: I think it compares with the Swords suit. But personally, I never compare the Osho Zen deck to traditional tarot decks, I just don't feel it works that way. It has its own suits, so to speak. ;)
And just for the record: the interpretations are not by Osho. The deck is created by Ma Deva Padma and even though she was inspired by Osho in creating the deck and she uses quotes from his work to clarify the cards, it is she who created the cards and the interpretations.

The swords are the red cards.
I know this because Totality, is fire suit number 5. And I'm positive it's the 5 of swords. I'm pretty sure atleast. It's the one where you often see someone picking up swords after a battle or something and it represents "having all your swords" so to speak. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Frequency: The red cards are the equivalent to the Batons (wands) suit.
The Swords would be the grey cards.
But I agree with tarotlady - I wouldn't bother to link these cards too much with the traditional Tarot (even if it is possible).
I don't know if my booklet in French is the equivalent to the one in English, but I suppose it is. It explains so well the story of the Camel, the Lion and the Child.
What don't you like about this explanation?
I have never read "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", but perhaps it would shed more light on this card, as this allegory comes from this book.

I have read Thus Spake Zarasthustra. I just don't think you change as easily as how often the card comes up in a reading. You two are probably right though. I was just curious if anybody interpreted this card differently.

Ok, here's my totally uneducated opinion:
I think rebirth corresponds with the 10 of swords in traditional tarot cards. So I think the rebirth card talks about the end of a problematic cycle and finding the strength to pick up and move on.
just my opinion - your mileage may vary ;)

I don't think the card means a change so much as you are represented by one of the three, lion, child, or donkey. I tried that interpretation in a reading I made for someone and I think it was correct.
