Yesterday evening I went through my decks and when I came across my Hudes deck (which I used about 2 years ago pretty often but then no more) and took it in my hands the deck started to react to my touch: my hands grew hot and tingled which has never happended before with a deck (before I only got a warm and comfortable feeling, not such an ardent burning).
Have you ever had the same/similar experience?

That has never happened to me.
But -- sometimes, when I'm doing a one-card reading, I get a sort of vibration from the card that I then pick.
After this happened, did you do a reading with the deck? Was it special, or particularly enlightening? It's an interesting phenomonon.

Where was the deck stored and in what? Not to undercut the magic--but perhaps you had an allergic reaction to something it had been lying on or wrapped in for 2 years.

@cocobird
Unfortunately, I could not do an immediate reading as I was on the way out to a meeting. Maybe it was a kind of "call" of the deck to work with it.
@thirteen
I keep the Hudes deck together with several other decks in a wooden box (no colourings or glue added). It did not feel like an allergy more like an energy flow.

I tend to be with Thirteen - must be an academic deformations... :|
Possibly the dust? Was there dust at all? I often have that when picking static electicity, just like anyone else I think...
BTW the Hudes deck is so beautiful! ;) *hint*

I keep my collection decks in large flat plain wooden boxes in which nothing can grow dusty (Pollux, do you really think my decks can gather dust? I often look at them, fuddle them, think of the trades and traders, the excitement when I was "hunting" for a deck, etc).
I really think the Hudes deck called out to me to range it again among my reading decks (which I did).

Catlin -- I don't doubt that cards can try to call to you upon occasion. Last Fall someone had told me that they could not read with their Tarot of the Old Path deck, so I assumed that I'd have the same problem. Shortly thereafter I did an extended Celtic spread with Hudes and interpreted it. Then I had some flashes of pictures in the back of my mind that I didn't understand where they came from. The next night, while studying Tarot of the Old Path, I laid two cards next to each other by "coincidence" and those symbols were in those cards! The meaning of those two cards, along with the meaning of those speicifc symbols as used in Old Path, came out to the identical meaning of the full spread from the previous night!!
Lesson: Yes, Old Path wants me to work with it. Yes, decks can speak to you.
