I have the Motherpeace and Daughters of the Moon tarots. I don't use them much because I find them to be unbalanced and give somewhat distorted readings. Also I can't figure out how to shuffle them. Does any one have ideas of how to do this? Blessings, wolfen

I have the Motherpeace and I just shuffle them normally. Riffle them together. There is a book written by Noble that explains how to determine what it means when the cards point to the right , left, are upside down etc. Once you get used to it, the shuffling becomes quite easy.
Good luck!

I have a Tarot of the Cloisters deck (which is round) that I've used a lot. I've always read them as either right side of or inverted. I haven't bothered with the degrees of rotation though it is an intriging idea.
I'm sure your decks must have published books out there somewhere that might tell you the authors intent on the matter.

Motherpeace, the mini,, was my second deck. Now that was one hard deck to shuffle. I finally bought the big one and shuffle it in the regular way.
I do like the left-or-right-of perpendicular aspect of this deck. I feel it gives me more information.
One of the first things I learned about reading any deck is that the way the card falls is an indication of the energy present in the situation I'm asking about. If the cards land a little to the left or right, it gives an idea of the degree or volume of that energy.
Good luck. I've found it a really good deck for myself and friends.

I have Songs for the Journey Home and like to deal the cards into little piles of about 8 and then pile them back together and shift sections once or twice.
I've never actually shuffled them in a regular manner, I just like doing it this way for some reason.

I have Oracle of the Dreamtime which isn't tarot bu they are round!
I shuffle them the same as normal cards, and sometimes just put them in a pile on the table and move them all around, then put it back in a pile iykwim!
I love the way different slants can mean different things :)
Re the Daughter of the Moon tarot, i have used it a few times but found it too biased with not enough male energy. Need a balance :)

We all ready had this discussion this week. (Sigh. Rather not go that route again.) If you haven't seen it, you might like to read Wise Woman Tarot thread which was initiated by Kiama.

Sorry, I hadn't seen it, but I wasn't trying to go 'into' anything either !
I will have a look at the thread you have referred to though, thanks :)
