Whole pack vs. Majors only reading

I always use the whole deck for readings. I know some books say some readings can be done using only the major arcana but I've never done so. I was curious to know if anyone does readings using only the major arcana. If so, does it shift the meanings/ emphasis of the more heavy cards such as Death or the Tower? Blessings, wolfen
