I recently did a reading one of the questions was what I needed to know and the chariot came up, the question was what I needed to focus on while I was on vacation. I thought it could mean possible travel changes any ideas?

One thing it tells you is to always be in control and know where you're going. And to make sure any car you rent or borrow is in good condition--oil, gas, spare tire, not from a cheap rental place.
Also, it could be urging you to enjoy those moments when you're going from point A to point B--when you're on a train, car, bus or bicycle especially. The Chariot driver is so focused on getting to where he's going that he can really miss the important stuff. So, this card might be reminding you to enjoy the scenery, enjoy being on vacation and being on the move. Don't just focus on getting from one place to the next. I've known travelers like that, haven't you? So concerned about getting to the next stop on their tour that they never slow down to relish the beautiful folliage, the wonderful little towns, the old churches along the way. They miss more than they see.

Thank you, I was stumped when the card came up, I think I will take the time to enjoy the drive there and I will double check the car before leaving. Yes I am one of those travelers who justs wants to get there I usually use the trip home to stop and look around I think I will look around on the way there as well.
thanks shy

The Chariot certainly does portray a person who is totally in control. Let’s face it the charioteer needs no reins to steer.
One of the lessons for Cancerians, is to use the mind to control and discipline the emotions.
But also I have known this card to denote choice. In the RW the chariot itself lies on water and land. This card was in a prominent positon in a reading for a person who was torn between starting a new life abroad or listening to her family’s request to stay put.
Also it can mean maturity. I think that is to do with being at the end of first line of the Arcana. The developed ego, the adolescent period passed and now the mature adult.
Gloria.
PS Whenever this card shows you can bet your life there will be trouble with a vehicle of some kind.

Are you saying that you think it is warning me of car trouble?

Yep, that's what Gloria's saying and she's right. Whenever you're about to take a car trip and you get the chariot, it's a warning to have the car checked and be on the safe side--or risk car trouble. Have the car checked over for oil leaks, break problems, spark plugs, fan belt--all the little things that often go wrong. Take along extra oil, spare tire and water. Don't travel down that back road through the middle of nowhere, the one that's a hundred miles from the nearest gas station. And just to be triple sure, have your AAA card on you.
