A run of numbers in a spread

Any ideas whay it would mean about a person if they picked a spread in a number order e.g.

A 5 card spread (just an example)

Ace of cups 7 of wands
2 of Spades 8 of coins
3 The Empress 9 of coins
4 wands 10 Wheel
5 Hierophant 11 Justice

The starting card can be any number but each card afterwards would follow in order.
I understand when you get many of one suit or Majors but what about a run of numbers like this?
Could it mean they are going step by step? What would anyones chances of doing this?
IDEAS PLEASE.

p.s. yes I do have a job, I just have had some extra time lately! LOL

Sorry the 7,8,9,10 &11 is another example of a 5 card spread

O.K. mabee I messed up again!!!

What if the numbers were
2 or wands, 3 of wands, 4 of wands, 5 of wands in one spread what would this mean?

I think for myself I would add the 2,3,4,5 together & get 14 which is Temperance & use that card as an added feature to the spread.

If this run of numbers came in a larger spread & the Temperance card showed up that would be affirmation ...

Sound O.K.?

This would be easier to understand if we were playing Poker :D

So basically you're referring to per say, a straight or straight flush. Those are worth a lot!! :D I definitely think that would be significant if it followed in sequence like that, but the meaning you draw from it could vary depending on the cards, the spread, and the question they concern.

As you said, we know it can be significant if we get a lot of cards from a particular suit (a flush :)). For example, a lot of swords could indicate that a lot of turmoil is on the way. If those cards were to be in a sequence however, depending on what type of spread you were doing, it might in some cases (for me, anyway) seem like a story being told. For example, maybe if you were doing a simple 3-card spread, and you got three Sword cards in sequence, you might read it as a story, starting at one point and ending up at the other. Even if the cards were majors or different suits, the numerical order could be saying a lot of things. Ie. perhaps breaking something down into steps, if you were asking a question such as "how would I go about doing this?" It could also be an indication of time, but that is something that mystifies me at this point :)

I think it would really depend on, like I said, the question, spread, and cards. It's hard to make that all up in my mind, I'd have to actually see it happen to be really cognizant of it and intuitive about it.

Ros,
It happened sometimes to me too .makes think me alot when the cards appear this way. Or backwards too: 7, 6, 5... etc
But i dont have a clue about what this could mean. Looks like advancing through the issue in a natural and progressive way. Then backwards would mean a constraintment time instead of expansion? ¡Bah! I dont know. Any suggestions someone?

Considering the numbers, I would try Vegas.

Think of this (this is vaguely like something JMD had mentioned in passing in another thread): people usually create meaning in imagery and not so much in numbers, unless you or the person you are reading for has a special affinity for numbers. It's like we normally don't think of "8" signifying "Justice", unless we have conditioned ourselves, rather, visual imagery seems to be more compelling in Tarot. It reminds me a bit of C.G. Jung's warning to others not to generalize when it came to psychoanalysis because what has meaning for one person may have none to another.

I would also suggest vegas!

I would just think that it would signify that the querant or yourself is having a bit of luck!
Born out of my own superstitions and related goofy ideas (which have served me well many times) I have often found that myself and others go through lucky times and unlucky times. In particularly good luck streaks, it seems like everything in a single day will just turn out, allign, etc.
I would read the reading without paying a lot of attention to the numbers. but then I would add that - and hey your having a lot of luck lately or very soon.
