For those that do daily card readings for yourself, do you use the whole deck - majors and minors - or do you just use minors?
I've tried it with both majors and minors. Then I tried it with just the minors and found it made more sense for me this way. I was curious what other people's experiences are?

I use all the cards when I do daily readings. I find that Majors come up when something will be of prime importance during the day, an overriding influence. For example, yesterday, the Devil came up, along with the Lovers - my boyfriend and I had some communication problems during the day, caused by insecurities (Devil-esque), but we resolved them and are very happy together (the Lovers). Although it wasn't a serious problem or a far-reaching issue, it was something that felt important at the time.
Today should be fun - Nine of Pentacles and Four of Swords; having it all and being lazy! lol!

Hi, Wildchild. I use both the Major and Minor Arcana in my daily readings, and just mentally "turn down the volume" on the Majors unless I have a particularly pressing need or question on a given day. On a day-to-day basis, the Majors seem to impart useful information that deepens the meanings of whichever Minors I might have drawn, but without the high level of drama that can be associated with Majors in spreads related to urgent and specific questions.

I too use a the whole deck for a daily reading, usually a three card spread, unless I need further clarification.

I use the whole deck for every reading. I guess I just don't want to leave any out! ;-)

I use the whole deck for all readings. There have been times when I have got 3 majors in my daily 3-carder (and that often happens several days in a row), and then it's generally a pointer to the fact that I need to start putting my forces together to the direction that the cards point out, and that certainly takes more than one day. But then again - no matter how big the task is, it has to start at some point...

I too always use the whole deck for daily readings. Although I do full spread readings just with the Majors but you really need a specific question to ask, it doesn't work to well on just general no question readings.
You could try doing a weekly spread with just the majors and see what happens. :)

but I use them only to the weekly spread. day-to-day I use all. I found out that when I use the major the reading are strong and powerfull

That's a good idea. Some days the Majors seems a bit too intense. And reading without them makes me feel like I'm missing something sometimes.

So far I use the whole deck for all my readings. It's all about preference though.

I personally prefer to use cards from the whole 78 card deck if doing any reading - whether daily or specific.
Having said that, I may decide to focus on a particular Major Arcana card for either a particular day or week. In such cases, I either choose with determined decision which card to reflect on, or randomly choose from the Major Arcana only. In such cases, it isn't, of course, properly a reading.
