Reversed, upright or both...
How should I read my card of the day?
I have books that have reversed meanings and some that don't. I would hate to limit my research but I would also like to be acurate.
Any thoughts...?

If you up go to the FORUM TABLE OF CONTENTS, a pair of "threads" at the top of this section, you'll find links to several threads dedicated to the subject of reversals. That's if you want to peruse the question in depth.
To put it in a nutshell, there are two camps:
1) Yes, use reversals, they expand and enrich readings because they give you a second set of equally complex meanings (rather like having a whole 2nd deck of cards). They also clarify the intent of the card.
2) No, reversals are redundant. Each card already has all those "reversed" meanings in it, so why turn those pretty pictures upside down? We intuit meanings anyway (for example, whether the Magician is a person or ourselves or a message and if a message, what message). So a reader should be able to intuit whether the meaning of a card is "right-side-up" or "up-side-down."
And the answer to all such threads about whether to use reversals or not comes down to: Do what works for you.
HOWEVER, I would say that it would make more sense to use reversals with a Daily card because it's just one card. In a spread with cards in certain places meaning certain things, the question of reversals might be more a matter of style, but in a one-card message, a reversal could clarify meaning.
