I've found another academic text on the web:
Shuttlesworth, J, 2003. Tarot Therapy in Self-Help Psychological Study and Practice. Computers and Writing for the University of Texas at Arlington, Department of English
It is based on C.G. Jung's approach, the author uses the Crowley deck for illustration.

I enjoyed the tarot therapy article, and have been thinking about it rather a lot, really, especially because I have been playing with a couple new decks. It is I have never seen the image before, that I get what seem like messages from the subconscious.
Thank you for posting the article. It also helps me to find a way to explain the appeal of the tarot, when talking to non esoteric minded people (family).
