Tarot reading and pregnancy

I have a friend that has a lot of possibilities of being pregnant. She has just started studying tarot and she was wondering if she would be able to go on doing it if she is pregnant. I have read that one cannot read nor get readings during pregnancy. What do you know about it?

i haven't heard anything like that... i guess if the hormones fluctuate a bit. that might affect a woman's concentration...other than that...beats me. anyone else read about this?

Funny, this very thing was mentioned in Talking Tarot not too long ago (maybe 2 months ago?). Answer: No. Being preggers is not going to affect your readings or the baby or the cards. If anything, a mother-to-be should be more in tune with psychic powers, the ebb and flow of the universe and all that, not less. Baby will be fine, mom will be fine, readings will be fine. Honest.

It never bothered me, my children, or the decks. Of course, all of my children are very sensitive to the 'unseen' but that's most likely just coincidence. Maybe. ;)

OFF TOPIC: I started writing my tarot journal with daily cards. Funnily the first card I drew was the Fool (beginnings etc...). And very funnily too, i got pregnant that very same day. If some bizarre superstition tells that tarot is dangerous for the unborn baby, is it safe for pregnant women to go to church? The unborn baby might there too be exposed to the Unseen, mysteries, meaning of life issues ... Kissa

tks for your replies, and I agree with all of you. I personally think that it would be just the contrary, I assume the mother would be more sensitive. My friend will be happy!
