That's one way of looking at the Star, Shapeshifter.
After the massive emotional breakdown of the Tower, with all it's trauma and crisis, we feel like we have been demolished, just like the Tower. In this state of shock, we lose all hope and do not wish to see another tomorrow.
The Star appears when we start to feel hope again and, like the Star's sign Aquarius (look, the woman's pouring water), start looking towards the future again. We feel our wounds starting to heal, and we pick up the pieces of our lives and know we can go on.
(Among other things...)
I've been through so many Towers myself this past year...still waiting for my Star, though... :(

I use this card for peace.
I have that it is the "naked truth" of our situation & to have faith that good things come out of misfortunes . Also I have tranquiltiy after change & there is an unexpected blessing waiting for you.
I found somewhere ( I don't know if it was here or not) that the Star card is the story of Noah & the arc. Noah had so much FAITH in God that he believed that God would send a sign. When the dove came with the tree branch he knew that God had not let him down. So FAITH will bring PEACE after turmoil. Also the rainbow is a sign of peace. You have to put up with the rain to see the rainbow. I feel this is a relief to see this card. One of my favourites.
Hope this helped.

(Sorry forgot this part)
You have protection & guidance in your turmoil.
Follow your own Star with the faith.
Being blessed.
Someone will have to tell us if this is correct
- 8 star of Venus = Love & Peace. Is this what the star in this card is for? Could someone explain to us about the stars in this card? Thanks

Shapeshifter,
The Star is a card of hope and inspiration. If you will notice, there are 8 stars on this card. 8 is the number of regeneration and rebirth.
And yes, because she follows the Tower, she can be seen as part of the rebirth process following some trama or misfortune. I see also this card as being one of creativity, the Star replenishes, and heals the earth, ( heart, mind and soul.) so that we may move forward on to new ideas.
For centuries travelers have used stars to navigate, astrologers consult the stars. Children wish upon a star. And in religion, the Star of David guided the shepards to Bethlehem.
I don't see the reversal as lost hope, but rather a blockage in ourselves, preventing us from making the most of our good fortune.
I hope that helps ;)

I liked Rachel Pollack's (Seventy Eight Degreees of Wisdom) take on the Star and it's association with Strength and Leo the lion as a transformation of consciouness through the gentle, loving force of the Woman in Strength to become the Star. That by subduing our wild, uncontrollable natures we can ascend to the heavens and become a beacon of light, or gain illumination.
Hope lends it's strength to become faith, faith becoming a strength to get you through the sorting out the rubble from the Tower to build something better. How about a "rising Star", that it was hidden in the darkness of despair and now is ascending to shed it's light and brighten your world. A song I learned in Sunday School when I was a kid is playing in my head right now, "Don't you try to blow it out, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine, light of mine, let it shine"

The Star also deals with the future, that you can pick yourself back up & there's something to look forward to. It's not a card about something beginning and ending just in the present.

I just had a thought on The Star while making my lunch, so I am glad that this thread is here :)
What is tarot? To me (today's thought) The Star is Tarot to me, it illuminates my life and lights spaces that are sometimes dark. It gives me inspiration, it liberates, regenerates me. The inspiration is most often than not, spiritual. It's freedom, freedom of mind, body and soul.
There was a period in my life for a couple of years at the end of the 90's when I never opened my deck, never looked at it, I knew what it would tell me, but I also knew that what it said would not inspire or even liberate me. This was a period of darkness and, for me, I can never be taught anything, I need to experience it personally myself. I hope I never explore the dark side of my soul or my shadow like that again, but I am glad I did, so I know how people feel when there is no light in their life, when they are on the wrong path. Because unfortunately there are a lot of lost souls in the world.
I hope this has given you another way to look at The Star, a truly blessed card :)
