My numbers add up the 21 the World.
Some points I have for this card-
... key concept ,a mark or cross that has equal arms. A cross is sometimes used in place of a signature, therefore it takes on this meaning also.
The symbology here is cosmic consciousness...
...the One Power becomes the central reality in our lives
I never understood this before but I think I understand it now.
I'm in a Hand Man Year.
......poised in consciousness and under perfect control. He is conscious of the One Power everywhere, yet centered in himself.
...The law of reversal is the keynote here, reversal from living egocentrically to giving selfless service to others.
Bringing cosmic consciousness down to earth.
Could these two cards be telling me that I'm coming together with my intuition? I'm also a #3 in numerology & going into a 3 year.Just doing some research & trying to put things together.
Thanks for any input or replys.

Interesting! That you are a 21 (3) in a 12 year (3). How often does that happen that way, I wonder? I had one of those with the #6.
Anyway, 3s are about communication. So being a 21 (3) could indicate using your ability to communicate to acheive your goals. To make the world a better place. Like you suggest with the "X" as a signature, you're "making your mark".
Communicating with the Hanged Man for your #12 year would be about sacrifice yes. Taking care of others. It could also be about giving up time, effort, etc. to learn. Odin hanged from a tree to gain the runes. Knowledge is power and the more knowledge you have the better you can communicate.
Just rambling a bit, but I hope it made some sort of sense.
R :)

Hi ros,
I sometimes see in the Hanged Man a forced patience, self discipline of sitting back, forcing my mind to slow down, watching and waiting to act/decide/move forward until the time is right.
Maybe it will all come together you as are looking at things from a new perspective and maybe just "hang" for awhile with the new perspective until it all comes together neatly.
I don't really know numerology yet (always consult my sister for that part!), so that's just from the cards and a little intuition thrown in!
All sounds quite exciting --
ps. know just how you feel about the physical isolation from others studying these things -- good thing we have AT!! :)

Notice the crossed leg in both, World right-side up, Hanged man reversed. Not only this but the numbers imply that The World and the Hanged Man are reflections of each other.
Thus, having both would indicate to me remarkable balance and insight. The World looks infinately out--the Hanged Man infinately in.
Another thing they both share is a divesting of the self of material objects. The Hanged Man sacrifices all material items, gives them up. The World similarly, doesn't hang onto an object saying "this is mine" so much as they make an object theirs for as long as they need it. For example, if a "World Card" person, traveling as World Card people do, would never say, "Wish I were back in MY home, sleeping in MY bed." Wherever they are, that's their home. Wherever they sleep, that's their bed.
The Hanged Man is a student, teaching himself something profound by way of a very personal and solitary experience. The World is a teacher, passing on univeral wisdom, but remaining apart.
The implication of both cards indicates to me a time of outward travel that leads to inward travel--a trip to an Ashram or Stonehenge or hiking someplace wild, natural, beautiful. A place that both feels like home to you AND gives you spiritual insights. This is a time of sacrificing old notions, material goods, and likely any ties that keep you from freely traveling about.
You will learn and teach--yet remain apart--not in a lonely sense. You will feel part of everything while being able to seperate yourself from all. The ultimate observer, the ultimate absorber of experience.
Sounds like an exciting, enlightening and intense year.

Wow Thirteen, I never quite thought of it in that respect before.
