2 card reading, one for each hand!

I've been thinking about the left hand having to pick the cards. Then as I was playing with the cards I was thinking of balance.
What if we picked one card with the left hand & one card with the right hand. I tried it & just had that OMG feeling. I'm sure it works but it just felt neat. I'm am going to work with this.

Has anyone used the cards this way for balance with thoughts or situations?

Thanks for any replys.

...hav'nt tried this but it strikes me that this method may compare a querent's/reader's concious and subconcious thoughts...

That's an interesting idea ros.

I've been wondering about the whole left handed thing. I know it's controlled by the right side of the brain but does that really affect your intuition? I always want to try the left hand method but I never remember until after I've already dealt with my right. I'm right handed so it's a more natural feeling and isn't something I really think about when I do it. I seem to be able to read quite well this way, so I wonder if I should put any stock in the left hand superstition...any thoughts?

Sorry to hijack your post ros :D

I notice that if the client goes to pull a card with the right hand & I say please pull the cards with your left most times they will change the card that they were going to pull with there right hand.
I had one lady one time almost refuse to use her left hand, saying she knew what cards she wanted & wanted to use her right. (of course we made a joke of it, nothing serious)

I think I was just getting tired of the whole left hand thing & tried both hands & it was neat to think about. It's almost like you don't have to worry about what card you pull because it's like you know you're going to get two chances.

I don't know really just trying some ideas.

The right brain does control the left side of the body, but both sides of the brain are still being used. We can't isolate brain function at will.

In case of injury, for example, it has been documented that one side of the brain WILL "take over" for the other side, even in some extreme cases. It has also been shown that women, in particular, use both sides of the brain for most functions and it is generally believed that this is why they tend to recover from strokes more quickly than men do with most of their abilities restored. (Knew those psych classes would come in handy someday.)

If you have any doubts, try it for yourself and see. I confess I did. :| Didn't see any difference though.

I tend to pick cards using both hands, but this is not through any great design on my part, rather it is just easier for me. Hehe. When I read, I fan the cards out... if I like a card from the left hand side of the fan, I might choose with my left hand, if from the right, then from my right hand, etc. Whatever is easier.

I do know of some people who are quite particular about which hand to draw cards with. I just let people do what best pleases them.

I always pick cards, turn the cards etc with my right hand, but I am left-handed. Now I shuffle with my left and I cut the cards with my left but like I said I turn ,pick etc with my right.

I got thinking about this because if you are left handed and are using regular playing cards when you fan the cards in your hand if you do this left handed then the numbers or letter of the suit are not at the top of the cards they are at the bottom. I think that over the years I've just learned to use the right hand to fan turn etc. for convienence sake and this has crossed over with Tarot cards.
