.....i got this in a reading and i would like to know different opinions about this card being reversed in this position.
someone told me its to "move on", and i looked it up and the book told me "someone is returning from a journey"
Thanks!

It really depends on what the other cards surrounding it or leading up to it are saying. Personally, I would interpret it as staying put for the time being and having some dissatisfaction with that but living with those feelings for whatever greater good will transpire by that for now.

How do you feel about spending time alone, nocturnaldreamer?

Here are some of my meanings hope they help.
1. Hanging on to what you no longer need.
2. Not making an effort to grow.
3. Returning to a place or situation. Socializing more.
4. Collecting.
5. Might be better for you to stay where you are and not move on right now.
6. Or you could be refusing to move on. Out of fear of the unknown and change.
7. Health wise it sometimes indicates insomnia to me.
Because the man on the card is up and busy in the middle of the night.

Staying through the bad time in hope of the good to come?
Finishing that project that you don't want to do, rather than leaving it?
Coming back to what you left behind?

My thoughts on this card reversed would be sticking around rather than leaving, that there is more to be offered, becoming more involved rather than withdrawing, but yet there is that sense of some sort of completion or resolution about it.
I just read some DM's from the LWB that came from my decks:
Morgan-Greer says emotional entanglements, but the book that came with the deck says "actively persuing love and pleasure"
Radiant R-W-S says happiness, joy and feasting.
Jonathan Dee says running away from problems rather than making the effort to solve them, persuing an unreal dream rather than what is good and solid in your life, very likely of making a far-reaching errof of judgement.
Rachel Pollack says it could still pretty much mean the same thing as upright except you refuse to leave some situation, hanging on even though there is nothing left to hang on to
OR awareness and correct response The time is NOT right to leave yet, the situation will continue to give joy and meaning
OR timidity; leaving a situation because a person lacks the courage to pursue it and take everything they can from it, basically running away when it gets difficult or it's time for a genuine committment.
So it really depends on the question, the deck you are using, the cards around it and your intuition of what to make of it.

Im looking in two of my decks LWB's
My book for my gendron tarot says: material attatchment, reckless. Restless, and pleasure seeking.
my book for my tarot of a moon garden says: Effort continued until success is attained. Festivity. Gaeity.
So how Im reading it is you need to let go of whatever you are attaching yourself to and keep trying until you get what you want.

thank you all very much for your inputs!
i am the type of person who lives in the past, who trys to avoid change and facing reality... so this card is "me"...
