Luck first, then the Tarot?

Just curious....I have never won anything in my life...(like big, I mean)...not that I really desired it...I seem to have so much that interests me that money, (while at this point it would help me retire one year earlier) has never been what I seek, just what I need to live. Anyhow, this summer on a cruise ship I hit a progressive jackpot for $16,000 and then this Christmas a friend of ours (my husband's....we didn't even know he had money) gave us each $8000. Then this fall, the Tarot came my way via a character in a Sanford novel. Odd that the amounts were the same and that it came all within months.??? I'm grateful, but puzzled. I have worked since I am 13 and plan to retire in 6/05 after 50plus years of working...any thoughts on this? Looking back, it seems that all the good things, even those I worked for, have been THERE when I need. (The painful things have been there, too....like the song says "I could have missed the pain, but I would have missed the dance.") ...my parents were immigrants from Germany and I am a war baby (WWII) and we were very poor, but I have been blessed a hundred-fold...

tmgrl2, Very touching story. I am glad for your recent luck! I hope you do get to retire early and enjoy your life to the fullest. My Mom was a small child during WWII, and was very poor. It taught her to appreciate things and be frugal. My sisters and I all learned from her very valuable things. Blessings, Mimi
