Okay, when doing readings or pulling daily cards, I very often get the kiss of death. I don't mind death, we're great friends, hence my name.
But, after pulling it again this morning I wonder....WHAT am I supposed to be letting go of, b/c obviously I'm not doing a very good job at it. I'm not happily married, but cannot get divorced at this time, I'm bi and have a girlfriend, but we only see each other once a year (due to geography).
I also wonder if I'm supposed to let part of me go. I'm trying not to be so sad and lazy...I know that part of me is of no use to me, but can't quite let go b/c I'm scared. Then there's the fear, maybe that needs to die. Along with self-doubt.
See what I mean? There are so many things that death could be referring to, and I'm having a blind spot as to which one it is.

I think the problem might be that you're limiting your intepetation of Death. It's not just about letting go--it's also about change, renewal and metamorphosis, as well as times of feeling sad or empty.
Yes, sure, it can indicate that it's time to let things die, but it can also indicate that things HAVE died and you're in a low period, at a nadir. It's a reminder that if you are, it's all right. We need these times to get back to our foundations. To strip ourselves to the bone (so to speak) so that we can remember what really matters to us. Death can also be a reminder that there will be an up-swing. You've lost something and you're feeling blue, but this loss will lead to a renewal in the end, a change that will refresh and restore, like sping after long, bleak winter.
In a sense, the card might just be telling you that the winter is still here--and you just have to hang in there. Spring will come.
