I'm interested to know what other's ideas/interpretations are of the 4 of pentacles reveresed.
This card has been coming up frequently in many of my readings lately (either for me or for others).
To me it's about not being miserly enough... or loosing control of finances... what's your opinion? what's your experience with the card Rx'd?
(pre) Thanks...

Maybe its nothing negative, maybe its just someone who is generous, perhaps a philanthropist.

I kind of feel that it might be the sour grapes story. 4/Pent is HAVING and holding onto something for fear of losing it--reversed 4/Pents might be you DID lose it (never had it!) and saying you never wanted it--but truth is, you did--and it's still tearing you up inside that you didn't get it.
The Fox looks at the grapes. He tries to get them, he can't. He sulks off, "They're probably sour," he rationalizes. Truth is, though, he still wants those grapes. And he doesn't believe they're sour.
Have you been feeling that way about something or someone? You didn't get the job you wanted, and you hear yourself telling others, "Good thing. From what I hear it's not that great a postion." Or you wanted someone, but they're dating another, and you say, "Hey, it would have never worked out between us."
But inside, you're torn up that you didn't get these things. And you still want them. Anything like that happened of late that's been preying on your mind and emotions a lot? It might be time to admit you wanted them--and think about why you wanted them, and what you feel you lost.
And, of course, how you can get over that sour, resentful feeling of not being able to hold tight to what you wanted so badly.

Maybe having the 4 of Pentacles reversed is about letting go of something that you've held too tightly, becoming more generous of yourself or with what you have, be it physical, material or even people in your life. For some reason I was thinking of possessiveness in relationships, not so much letting go of the relationship, but not clinging, or being more open.
Or maybe it's telling you that by clinging to what you have you are missing an opportunity for more, by not risking anything.
People have often had health issues when they've gotten this card, needing to guard it when it's upright. 4's are foundations, maybe yours feels like it's been turned upside down and needs examining.
