Here is my problem…Today I’ve made “3 months” spread to my father and in “what will happen in two months” there were queen of pentacles and two of cups…and then there was ace of cups! Wow! Does it mean that he will be having love affair??? I don’t want to make any conclusions in advance, but I’m afraid that I’m becoming suspicious...My father is joking about it, kind of “great, I’ll meet a girl”, but for me it’s not funny.:( Is there any other way how I should interpret these cards? By the way, in another spread for him there were also ace of cups and lovers, so…
Any comments will be apreciated…

New love doesn't necessarily mean female human, is he looking for a dog or other pet?

Or a car? Computer? I used to come up with cards like that when I was saving my money for a computer, and my mother with her condo. House maybe?

Sometimes a combination like that can mean an "internal marriage," too -- your dad might be making a better relationship to his own creative nature, or to parts of himself that haven't seen the light of day until now.

I'm still rather suspicious of this!
Two of cups I can relate with (to animals, carpets 'n stuff).
But Ace of Cups isn't really a card to be taken so lightly.
When you did you reading, your intuition told your it was a connection with another person (or was it your logic?). Can you really put that much affection into buying a carpet???

had I pulled these cards.. I would have a few questions to ask.. is he looking for a new job? Does he have any hobbies that he is trying to make profit from?
2 of Cups & Ace of Cups wouldn't always indicate relationship of 2 people in love.. but could be 2 people who love what they are doing and are committed to each other in that respect... could mean new beginnings for an older relationship, with your mother perhaps? Maybe not love but mutual respect for each other..
Could be a business merge into a position that your father will greatly love.. not necessarily a new woman.. but I do not discount this either :)

I personally don't think the ace and two of cups necessarily indicate romantic love. I see the ace of cups as representing love, creativity, and joy, and the two of cups as representing the start of a new relationship, or taking a current relationship further. There doesn't need to be any romantic love in it - it could simply be familial love, or the love between friends.

Why look outside your father's relationship with your mother?
The cards could very well be indicitive of a deepening in THEIR relationship. After all, a marriage shouldn't be static... And every so often uplevels wonderfully.

There are these small collections of flowers and fruits and veggies all over the place, my mother gathers lots of stuff that he does a little at a time every day. He is a gardener from high school, although by trade he was mechanical technician for satellites, communication boxes, etc...anyway, since retirement, the gardens and home things for my sis and mom...well, lots and lots of practical things are gifts of time and work and he's constantly browsing the paper and net for coupons. They are like his greeting cards and advice to us--so you can say practical things can be an expression of domestic partnership and a peaceable two of cups orientation.
Sometimes decorating the domestic space that you live in gives a fresh face to an old love. It's rather nice to think of a fatherly affection that comes out in wood frame for a new bathroom mirror--I was admiring my folk's new cabinet and bathroom mirror in a visit to them!
