Seven of Pentacles - Gambling?

Yes, well, isn't that amazing now, you are used to seeing the seven of coins as that usual christmas tree -- or is it a pumpkin patch, with the guy leaning over the rake and watching the grass grow... Patience? Prudence? Virtue? Waiting? Investment?

Yes that's what so interesting, so why did Mad Scapini paint on his seven of Coins a gaming table? The opposite of prudence and patience methinks -- you have to see these chappies throwing their money about.

Or... perhaps it is about the long term planning and strategizing one goes through in a game of cards where lots of money is at stake. Hmmmmmmm.

Temperance Angel pulled this card for me, and concluded my next love relationship would be a "gamble" - (loved this interpretation!)

So how does the seven of coins relate to gambling?

Your thoughts?

Is not gardening or farming a gamble in itself? Do you not have the weather, insects, wild animals, and human thieves to worry about? What certaintly do you have that, dodging all of those hazards, that your crop will bring a good price? There's a good reason that so much of farming is subsidized.

Hi, Firemaiden. I view the Seven of Coins as investment -- by extension, a gamble would be a relatively risky investment (which could yield enormous dividends in whatever is at stake). Sounds like fun!;)

I always said that the Seven of Pentacles was not just about standing there waiting, sure his body maybe standing, but his mind is analyzing. Gauging the progress and trying to determine his next move.

That is exactly what goes on at the Black Jack table.......

I've always thought of the growth of money with 7/Pents.
The guy could be into stocks and shares. The coin at his feet showing what he started with..…the others making their way up the bush, symbolic of how his shares have grown in value.
I reckon he is thinking to himself….should he cash them in now whilst price is good, or risk letting them float just that bit longer.
Bit of a gamble!

In gardening you have to pick your moment..
The moment the fruit is at the peek of ripeness.
To soon it's green, to late it's mush and rot.
And it's all a big gamble.
Sure there are signs of perfect ripeness, but alot of it is that inner instinct.
Yup, nows the time, I'm picking it today.

Just like gambling.
You get that feeling ...
That lucky feeling that the universe is alined and the next card you pick, or horse you choose is the ONE.
And it is.

As far as relationships go.
Have you ever been in a moment in a relationship when you just knew, that if you said this or did that, just at that moment, it would mean the difference between the relationship taking off into a new direction or fizzling out?
