Associating cards with emotions.

I know we've had threads about keywords and phrases and I know that many emotions can be associated with each card. But I was wondering, what ONE emotion comes to your mind first when you see a particular card? When you see the Lovers card do you automatically think "love" or "confusion"? Here are a few of mine: Tower = Fear 8 of Wands = Apprehension/anticipation 3 of Cups = Joy 5 of Pentacles = despair/shame Star = Hope (of course!) High Priestess = curiosity Any of the Pages = enthusiasm What are some of the emotions you think of when you see a card? R :)

my favorite is the Star I feel very peaceful 7 of Swords ~ uneasy Knight of Cups ~ compassion 10 of Cups and 4 Wands ~ happiness

7 of Swords - vigilant, cautious 9 of Pentacles - satisfaction 2 of Cups - Harmony 5 of Wands - Angst 3 of Swords - heartache

Good topic, Rhiannon! Here are a few, altho, there are some differences between my decks. Generally speaking: Sun = bliss / happiness 5's and 7's = worry / concern Moon and Devil = caution (hmmm, does that count as an emotion? ;))

Funny...when I see the Lovers I don't think "Love" or "Confusion"...I think "Frustration!" (I guess that says a lot about the current state of my marriage! ;) ) Off the top of my head...a few others.. Sun...Mirth 5 wands...jealousy 4 swords...exhausted 9 swords...stressed 8 swords...fear 2 swords...peaceful
