Has anyone ever put a tarot deck in a photo or stamp album? This might be a good way of storing the deck while being able to look at the cards as a whole.

For a business trip, I put a mini Hanson Roberts deck into an album for business cards, I wanted to enjoy the art and at the same time avoid loosing cards during the trip.

I have done this--place decks in the sticky-pages kind, so I can compare non-reading decks with others, card by card.
It's a long process putting them in and taking them out, so I stopped!

I have two non-laminated decks that are only for looking at. I keep one in a photo album- not the sticky kind, but the short, fat kind that you slide the photos into the plastic sleeves- and the other deck is small enough to fit in baseball card collectors plastic sheets with pockets which are stored in a standard ring binder. Both work really well and were inexpensive.

I have about 20 decks stored in two big (4") binders. Most of them are in the plastic 4-pocket sheets. It allows me quick access to cards if I want to compare the same card from different decks. These are decks that I use for study or teaching.
However if I ever need to do a reading with them, I just remove the pages, turn them upside down, and they're auto-shuffled!

Holds about 80 pictures, 'pocket' size to hold 4x6 inch cards. I put a spare Via Tarot in it--may put a Thoth deck over the Via cards and do comparisons in a card a day comparison and my own decorated Via for reflection sometime.

Cerulean

Oh where do you find a album set up for business cards? I would love one of those!

I've gotten them at office supply stores like Staples or Office Depot.

Sort of off topic, but sort of not I guess. I think using tarot cards in a photo album is a great way to dress up the pages. I don't know if anyone else does scrapbooking here. I think I would probably photo copy the card on acid free paper if I was putting it with pictures, though. Or check to see if the actual card was acid-free and if it wasn't, make sure it's apart somehow from the photos.
Sorry, not exactly what everyone else is talking about.
I put my daughter's deck in a photo album like what you're talking about, but she still lost her cards. :D She kept taking them out to "play" with them.

This may not be the same thing really, and I did mention it before long ago in another post I made, but several years ago, my sister found five tarot cards and gave them to me. Now they are in a frame that hangs in my bedroom.

i love the idea of storing extra decks in a large photo album that has four pockets. what a great fast way to compare1 i have a few doubles of decks i think i will do that! it would be similiar to the comparative study that is in the general study section. i love it so much....but it looks like others are losing interest:(

Yup! I have my study decks in small photo albums, four cards to each side of the page...I keep all the minors together by number not suit...then I compare cards to ones in my books...like today, I pulled out the Grimaud Sun to look at the Camoin-Jodo Sun to comment on the thread you started, Rusty...
I like doing this...for some decks I have two sets, one to read, one to study...Camoin and RW...soon I'll get another Hadar and Gilded Tarot.

As Imagemaker said, you can find them in office supplies stores, you can choose the album or pages for spiral binders.
