conflict is yet another force in human life. there is so much conflict that it defines us as mortal human beings. between what we want and what we are, there we are. all the cards resolve conflict or provide it. imprisonment, and blindness are two conflicts. can anybody name any cards that simply resolve conflict?
the six of swords is one, if you count the act of resolving conflict i think. and never forget the fool.

hmm, i trust you didn't mean it was an either/or? i think some cards could resolve conflict in one reading and provoke it in another. imagine queen of swords in her capacity for discernment, helping to clear something up, versus her capacity to be a little sharp of tongue, causing hurt feelings and a new conflict.
and, perhaps, resolving one conflict may lead to another. example: someone overcomes tremendous difficulty and graduates from a master's program despite all the people who told her she couldn't do it... but then gets a job offer far away from her family or significant other.
that said, some cards i think are almost entirely on the side of resolution:
strength
the star
death
the world
two of cups
at any rate, take me with a grain of salt, i'm a noob. :)

I improvised a 3-Card spread for doing readings on the
Free Reading Network:
Card One: Present Conditions
Card Two: Guiding Influence
Card Three: Resolution Shown
This actually resolved my conflict over doing readings
on-line, without the ability to interact and so amplify on
position meanings that were too cut and dry.
Every card is able to provide the necessary qualities, although
you can imagine how some interpretations present challenges.

Resovling conflict ... so many cards if they appear in the "outcome" position in a spread can indicate that conflict is or isn't resolved, so the real answer is "most of them!" But here's some that indicate resolution to me:
Well, there's the obvious: Justice.
The Devil rx would certainly indicate that some block had been addressed.
The Heirophant or Hermit would be appropriate (especially if the person needs to seek guidance in their conflict).
The rule-driven Emperor and the Kings often appear in my readings (especially if someone is awaiting a decision).
The 2 of Cups is a "meeting of equals" card for me.
The 5 and 7 of Wands and 5 of Swords both show conflict that will produce or has produced a resolution.
The 7 of Swords shows the resolution -- it's just a matter of who got away with what!
Any of the minor 10s could indicate that an issue has reached its culmination and is therefore resolved.
That's all I got for now ...
