Recently due to europa and copa, I've been doing readings for my friends. I'm able to predict who's going to win and etc. I know its possible for each and everyone else. Eventually I have this urge to bet. Be it small or big bets, I'm wondering whether its ethical to do so. I really wonder if I should bet or not? At the end of the day, it's still greed. Give me your comments or if anyone has done so before.

I never drew cards yet on anything that could be betted upon...
I did use to go to the casino a lot, and decide to put chips on where I "felt" the ball would go.... I stopped because it started to creep me out that I was always just right, or in the 1-3 range of where the ball dropped. (So not choosing 13, and the ball coming in 15, but choosing 13 and the ball falling either on the side of it, or one more, seeing how the wheel is made up)
I never went there anymore after I took up Tarot...
I don't think it was wrong.... it was just a hunch, and I used to have much fun with roulette... now I'm considering if I want to go back again.
As for your problem ask yourself the following:
- How does it make you feel?
- Is it any different then getting other inside information?
- If you are not meant to know, why do your Cards (or what you believe moves the Cards) answer?
Hope it helps a bit.

Well, I feel that we are bounded by karma. Though these are petty gains, winning without giving up something will be too weird for me. You reap what you sow. However, gambling's only risk is your stake, most of the time is follow your gut feeling. I don't see any effort put in.. well, probably sleepless nights? I'm a worrier. Guess I worry too much. So should I bet on them? I don't know.
Getting inside information as in tips? Maybe different as in you're getting it from 'something' else? The thing is whenever I do those readings, I always say 'I'm just asking for the interest of knowing', hence I don't harbour any intentions of greed. I'm in a neutral state. I'm wondering whether when I intend to bet on the 'winning' team, might it blur the answer?
Your last question is interesting. I don't really know how to answer that. Are you implying that be it ethical or not, I decide. I decide my fate. I call the shots. Be it good or bad, I take responsibility? Very tough. It's down to knowing oneself.

But I have used my cards to help predict the outcome of a game--not too bad. I guess if it feels ok to you. I have to watch my money too closely to take such a chance.--Tao

when using the cards to try and predict the outcome of sporting events (especially if you want to bet on them), there are at least two things you can't control which can definitely effect the outcome since the future is, after all, plastic:
1) free will, and
2) the weather.

I think it all depends on what you do with the earnings. Are you using them to help out someone in need? Pay the bills? Buy food? You still have to work for the money, energy is exhausted in the process. What, then, of those who earn a "respectable" living selling Hummers?
(IMO Hummers are number one on my " . . .makes me so angry" list because of their outrageousness: expensive, gas-guzzling, air polluting . . .)
Just some little thoughts . . .

;) Every time my fiancee or I see a Hummer driving by, we both have to make a joke about how the drive must be looking for a gas station... I'm not usually judgemantal, but not only is it unethical to drive one, but it's just plain stupid- just the inconvenience of having to stop for gas like three times a day...
Anyway, back to gambling- I love to gamble. I have no hard feelings winning from a big casino. I think using whatever natural psychic ability you have to help you win is fine and dandy. I love roulette too- sometimes I'm red hot. Sometimes my ability craps out (ha ha) and I lose a bundle. I guess it's ok as long as you don't make gambling your profession, and you also use your abilities for good (helping others, or furthuring your spiritualiy.)
Plus, it's a good way to practice using your 6th sense...

Interesting thread, interesting comments.
My answer would be to hark back to the Pagan Crede? (Rede?) Anyhow, what it says is, "An ye harm none, do as ye will."
If you're gambling in a casino, which (I understand) is set up to pay out only a certain amount of the profits, I suspect that if you start to make an inroad on their profits, they'll let you know in a hurry.
So the question becomes, whom do you hurt playing within their guidelines?
As for making money from gambling, I'd go blow it on a whole lot of luscious things......a trip for my husband and me, some new clothes, presents for the children and grandchildren. A few dollars for the local public radio station, and stuff like that. Maybe update my 10-year-old Toyota.
I strongly suspect that I'd be guilt free. As long as I was sure I was harming no one.
