witch is worst in a reading ten of swords or nine of swords.

I would say neither.. one comes before the other... 9 of Swords is about stressing over 'defeat' or something equally as painful while 10 of swords is about rising above it.

The cards in themselves mean nothing, the meaning lies in the context…in fact, the 10 and 9 of swords can denote good meanings! The key is context.

The meanings vary so much depending on the question asked, spread and other surrounding cards that I don't feel that there is any way to say that the one is worst. I personally like the 10 of swords for me because it often means that things are changing and there there are new right on the horizion.

To me, the 9 of Swords is more internal, while the 10 of Swords is more external. The 9 of Swords indicates that you're full of anxiety and stress and are generally miserable, and the 10 of Swords indicates that circumstances have hit their lowest point. One isn't necessarily better or worse than the other - they're just different.

Pretty much agree with Luminessence's meanings, but still as everyone else says it all depends on what else is going on in the reading. It could mean the complete opposite and be a very positive card if say for example the 9 of swords is in a position about release.

I recently asked the cards, am I a singer or not? I got...can't remember what, but the meaning was, lack connection between vision and creativity. I asked what I could do to connect them. I got the Ten of Swords, which fairly shouted: Lose the Hysteria! It's not as bad as you've always thought. I think there was a "sheesh" in there somewhere too.
