There are beautiful blue orbs that show up in many of the Bruegel cards. I've found them with The High Priestess (her's is silver), The Empress, The World, The 9 of Wands, The 10, Knight, and King of Swords, The 6 and King of Cups, and The 2 of Pentacles. These orbs float in the sky, rest on the ground, are carried on stretchers, are used as chairs... What are they? What do they mean?

When I first looked for the globes, which by the way, I hadn't noticed till you listed them all...or I saw them and didn't reflect on them...I didn't realize they were the globe and cross symbol...
Briefly, what I recall is cross and circle can stand for antimony (alchemy) or Venus...also for earth.
The symbol has multiple interpretations. For example:

Also the "ankh" :

or:
http://www.swagga.com/ankh.htm
So we have an earth symbol....fertility....and amulet as a symbol of protection against evil spirits......symbol of immortality.
I'm sure others will add to this. This symbol appears in other decks as well. Right now, I can picture in the Tarot de Marseille,
L'Imperatrice and L'Empereur.

Thanks...now I will have to reflect on these in the Breugel!
