Just something I've been musing over. I'm well-aware of defining personal characteristics via astrology, but I'm wondering if there's a way of doing something similar with a Tarot reading? I see there's a way of combining the two to do so, but is there a Tarot-only personality reading, so to speak? I suppose it'd basically be the equivalent of taking the Significator card and expanding, but I'm deferring to those wiser. :)
This comes up because I realize that Tarot has some links with psychological impulses - which got me wondering.

One way in which personality and Tarot have been related by a number of us (in differing correlative ways) is by connecting the Court Cards and the MBTI (Myers-Briggs).
To save writing a long post on this correlation, I refer to my earlier explanation of my personal correlations between the Court cards and the MBTI.
Of course, there have been others who likewise have made MBTI-Court correlations, and made in ways which differs to those I give.
It should also be remembered that Tarot, as Tarot, does not necessarily have such intrinsic correlations, though it is interesting that from quite early times has 'personality', by having famous names associated with the Courts, been suggested.

Mary Greer's Tarot for Yourself tells how to find your Personality and Soul cards, using your birthdate.

This sounds like a good question to post to the readings board.

Hi Dame-Drache!
I found Mary Greer's instructions as well, and my tarot soul and personality card.
You add up your date of birth month + day + year
Then you add up the numbers of the result, for example 1997 = 1 + 9 + 9 +7 = 26. There are only 22 major arcana, so add up the 2 and the 6 and you get 8.
The 8 is Strength. If this is your number, then this is your card.
In my case, I am a 5, the Hierophant. Teaching and learning is my focus (by the way, its true).
From another site I found that there is a Hidden Factor card as well, which for me is Temperance. I don't know how to find the Hidden Factor, though, I need to do a little research.

Sorry all ~
I was trying to get you to the exact post which includes the table of root numbers from which the Soul, Personality and Teacher cards are taken.
If you read the thread, the table is about eight or nine posts down.

MoonGold:
So it's correct to say the following in my case:
January 13, 1964
Personality = 5
Soul = 7
Current Year = 11 (Which here is confusing because some say it's Strength and others say it's Justice)
and what would be my teacher? This is what's confusing me right now.
