same cards keep coming up...

I have been doing ALOT of readings by yahoo messenger, for people over the net. No matter how good I shuffle the deck or no matter who the reading is for, I keep drawing the same cards over and over. The king of cups is stalking me !!!! LOL. The fool is also. There are a couple others but mainly these. It happens no matter who the readung is for. As a matter of fact, I was shuffling for a reading and the king of cups fell out. I decided just to put it back in and reshuffle the deck. Well, I did it and guess who I pulled.... king of cups.....the stalker !!!! lol Does anyone know what could be happening here? Blessings...

The same thing happened to me with my 1st deck, and after a little inspection, I noticed that a few of the cards were just slightly warped or bent. I believe it was caused by the way I was shuffling the deck. These warped cards seemed to affect the way I cut them...ie the bent cards seemed to always find their way to the top of the cut! I have had a couple of occurences of this happening to me. In fact, it was just as you described - messages for me coming up in readings for other people, and over multiple decks. The first time was very early this year when I was in a period of slight depression. I felt myself withdrawing from people most of the time and lo and behold, The Hermit kept coming up. The next time was even less subtle and it occurred around mid-Spring. I kept track of my readings at that time and in eleven out of twelve readings the Queen of Wands came out. It was no coincidence that I had already equated this particular Queen to Gardener as this was when we started seeing each other. And I used the same terminalogy as you dawns_eve - she was stalking me! :) Getting cards repeatedly are definitely a message. Dan

You know...you are all probably right...my first thought when I kept getting my stalker was about my husband. Lately he has been annoyed at the time I am spending giving readings. Think this could be it?

LOL! Could be.... Now what of the fool? You coud always do reading on each card to find out what they are trying to tell you. This card does not mean this, This card means this. And so on....

I recently mentioned this same experience on the board for the Tarot class I am taking. Don S. suggested this Trials and Tribulation Spread to determine why a specific card keeps coming up. http://www.nodntap.net/test/trials_and_trib_spread.shtml For me it was also the King of Cups. I found it humorous that some of the keywords for the King of Cups on the Joan Bunning site were: Diplomatic - achieves goals through subtle influence Caring - takes action to help those in need Wise - teaches through loving attention This spread helped me find out that the King of Cups represents a specific person in my life, so now I know why he keeps popping up in my spreads.

This is interesting because I used two different decks doing readings for other people today and the Page of Cups and Knight of Cups appeared in both readings. Guess I'd better find out if there was a message for me there.

At one point in my career, there were 6 readings almost in a row that were for women in love (and at some level involved) with married men. No card issues, but client issues! I finally asked someone about it, and she suggested it was a message to me, a problem I had to work out, about men and infidelity. That stopped it. SO I would suggest that too many cards following you means you need to spend some time meditating on those cards until they give you their message and stop following you!

I had that happen with the Page of Swords...over and over. I kept switching decks and that's what I got and that's what a two other readers got when I went to consult with them. Now, it's the Death card. At least 4 times in recent weeks.... Again...different decks, so that business about not shuffling and/or cleansing or reordering doesn't work. Up comes Death... I'm working with it, but this does seem to happen. Not much help except to confirm that the cards are telling us something here. I have an idea what mine are saying. I already know what Death is wishing me to hear. It's ok, but a bit eerie at times. I happen to like this card. It's also my Scorpio card. I could use the Sun or Star or World occasionally (tmgrl speaks to the Ur-Tarot deck in the sky). However, in a marvelous reading from Umbrae almost a month ago now, I did get in pairs: Present: The Sun/The Moon Past: The Devil/Wheel of Fortune Near Future: The Universe/Justice So....after dealing with this Death card popping up here and there.....I shall have my World again and shall....as Umbrae reminded me...Only I can deny myself what I have earned...no demons from hell can...the package gets sent, but what we focus on, what we see and what we do with what is dealt...is up to us. terri terri
