Hello again--
What do you think of
-8 of wands- and -ace of cups- together when the question asked was:
What are this person's thoughts about me?
This question was related to the same person in my other post about the relationship reading-- Someone I haven't talked to in a while because of an argument we had. Kind of unsure of what the meaning of the 8 of wands is, since it is a card of movement and there is not much right now since we are not talking.

... the eight of wands represents a desire for movement (getting back together) rather than 'actual' motion. Levels and levels..

I always get a little nervous with the Eight of Wands because it often means that there is a lot of movement... sometimes too much. In combination with the Ace of Cups, I would be very careful about rushing into things as a result of new and possibly misunderstood emotions. I think of those couples who meet and within 2 weeks, they're engaged because they feel this rush of emotion and think that it will last forever.
So, in your particular case, I would be careful about the types of decisions you make as a result of what you are feeling. You are probably riding the roller-coaster of emotions, so it is important to take your time and not rush into things too quickly.

The ace of cups could represent that this person is coming to think of you in a new way emotionally. That doesn't have to mean getting back together, it could refer to the beginning of a platonic friendship.

thanks for everyone's feedback...
I also asked if this person would contact me soon and got
The Knight of Cups and Death together...
What immediately struck me was how similar these cards are-- the horses are both white, in the same position, the knight carries a cup, and death carries a flag, to symbolize the end/change of something-- and the setting is also very similar, but they seem to be carrying a completely different message. I can't quite make out what the cards are trying to say.
Any ideas for this one?

I see the 8 of wand as things that are comming to an end, the ace of cups as a new emotional state of mind. to me is that he is putting an end on how he used to fill about you before.
The death and the night of cups, i don't think of this person calling any time soon. the night show an slow and no moving horse. and the death show new beginnings as leaving the past behind.

This combination screams to me S E X or at least sexual tension, the 8 of Wands is the fire moving as fast as it can... and that fire is guiding the emotional potential of the Ace of Cups, interesting pair hope it is what you want from/with that person.

I also think the 8 wands and ace of cups sound like a 'fling" of some kind , passionate , physical , but likely to burn out quickly.
I don't know , the knight of cups is not always very trustworthy . He can be "in love with love " and not the nitty gritty reality of day to day life. IMO he's quick to throw in the towel . Maybe he doesn't really know what he wants. As you say , there is a similarity between him and Death . I feel that , in your throw , death has got hold of the knights reighns and is leading him somewhere ...into the river styx ??!! ( so towards forgetfulness) He's not putting up a fight over this . Its kind of like "out of sight out of mind "
Remember . The tower ( your other reading) is also about building things from scratch , starting over . I think Death is another take on this.

So I guess this must mean things are over and he is moving on, like tara deck said, and he is not thinking of me very much?... :(

This must represent what it was like in the past...I don't think it's that way anymore.

this shows either the butterfly feelings of love, an instant attraction, or very unstable emotions due to past actions.
