10 of Cups...
I'm not close to family, or friends, and I've been getting this card a lot. Specificaly with friends of mine. Could it be reminding me that the journey to hold someone in my life is complete, and that the task for me is maintaining that joy and friendship? Could it be reminding me of the IMPORTANCE someone has in my life?
I'd like to hear your oppinions.

Because you say you are NOT close to family and friends and this card keeps coming up for you, I would think it's message or advising you the opposite of what you're reading. In otherwords, Your journey is NOT complete yet BECAUSE you do not have a said emotional bond with someone and that maybe that is an emotional block within yourself for some reason and it needs to be worked on before you can feel completely content.
This is only my opinion from how you've described your emotional ties with others. Hope this helps or gives you a different aspect of the card.
Blessings,

Could represent a desire to have such an influence. Also that in friends & friendships that interest, even on a subconscious level, is expressed. In the absence of the traditional familial relationships or bond, friends can take that place. Cups refers not just to love, but to friendships.

What deck are you reading from?
And what spread and what are some of the other cards?
I would agree with MeeWah,that it is a hidden wish of yours. It could also indicate an influence or stage of your life that you are moving towards.

Could the 10 Cups mean that your pot of gold at the end of the
rainbow is within the family? You need family or close friends to
make you feel emotionally content.

Maybe it just means you are feeling complete and satisfied with your emotional state, you are happy where you are at. Happiness and fulfillment aren't dependent of family or friends, they are the people we enjoy sharing it with. For all our growth and enlightenment, we are still sort of stuck on the concept we need other people in our lives to be complete...that people who are "loners" and not in some relationship are not quite...
It could be that it's getting to be that time of year, Thanksgiving...or Christmas and all that warm fuzzy joy spilling over as family and freinds begins to gather and celebrate the holidays. I think 10 Cups would be a real good Thanksgiving card, though 9 Cups fits it better or even 10 Pentacles. HMMM, what about a water sign and something about the end of a cycle, like the month or the moon phases?
Just seems like you could have something to celebrate or the completion of some emotional beginning.
