well i'm new here, and i'm a very young tarot reader, hoping to become experienced by the time i'm 35
well, last week, i tried out for a part in the play....i tried out for oberon, the king of the fairies, in the play A Midsummer Nights Dream...i think i did pretty well
well i asked my tarot cards "will i get the part?" and the two cards that come out is....the king of wands...and the 10 of wands. i assume that this means i do get the part of the KING but it will be a hard for me, seeing how the man in the 10 of wands is having such a hard time
then i ask "will this be a burden for me?" and the cards reply with the devil and temperance
from what i read, i conclude this to be that i chose this burden (because i tried out on my own will). The self worn chains in the devil card, and in the temperance card, i must find the right balance..of mixing studies and the play together to...make sure i dont get stressed out
what do you think?

Your interpetation seems spot on to me. In fact, it's a really excellent interpetation.
As for not being sure of interpetations, we all start out that way. Honest, every single reader you meet here, no matter how confident they seem now, started out just like you--uncertain, doubtful.
The good news is, it doesn't take that long to absorb the meaning of the cards--and from there it's just trusting your own intuition and experience. The odd news (I won't call it bad, because it's not) is that you never stop learning the cards once you delve into them. Again, every reader on this forum is still learning the cards. So in a way, we're all still new, all still learning how to interpet.

And even the experienced readers doubt themselves sometimes...

Do keep a record of your readings - if you're really organised, you could note the meanings that accrue to individual cards from reading to reading on an actual or virtual card file [i used to write them beside the pictures of the cards in the very large margins of waite's not very forthcoming book on the tarot]. Different cards have different nuances of meaning to each reader, though most would agree on the general sense of each card.

Good reading. Keeping a journal really helped me also to remember how I read certain cards, when they were accurate (in hindsight), and when not. Also, looking back on the cards, and knowing how things actually played out, helped me to see alternative readings that I might've ignored.
Good luck with your play and with the cards.
