Not sure if this is the right place..but for those who know me and those who dont...going through a painful and hurtful situation with an ex of mine...worse part is that he is always popping up in my readings (as the Knight of Swords)...is there a way I can find out what the fates want from me and why this is a continuing role despite what I do?

Thanks for the recommendation..here's the thread..as suspected..he came up as knight of swords...looking over the cards to get a feel and to read it...
I'm guessing that I frustrate him and causing him to have to face his own weaknesses and he doesn't like that...he has this love/hate with me..because I'm what he looks for but I force him into reality and I do know it's suspected he has a bipolar disorder

Maybe he keeps coming up in the spread because you're still very emotionally involved with him? It may have nothing to do with fate and everything to do with your thoughts at the times you're doing the readings. I'm not sure what the situation is so I might be totally off base, but I'll throw out a suggestion anyway. ;) Instead of asking why he's there and how he is tied to you by fate/karma (which somewhat predisposes the reading to come out showing such a bond), perhaps try asking what you can do to move past this situation and past him.
I thought I was fated to be forever entwined with an ex of mine. He kept showing up in readings. I discovered that the "fate" ended when I kicked him out of my life and stopped doing readings about it.
Whatever is going on, I wish you the best of luck. Exes aren't particularly easy, and a Knight of Swords one sounds extra hard.

It's possible there's a Knight of Swords aspect in you too.
Try laying the Knight on the table in front of you, shuffling while you think on the Knight as an aspect of yourself, then lay three 'clarification' cards down and see what they say.
Then take the three up, reshuffle while you think on the Knight as standing for him and lay 3 more cards down as 'clarification' for his connection and see what those say.
I bet you get more info off that which may clear up things a little bit.

It was pretty interesting..the knight of swords representing me came up with
1. The sun
2. 3 of cups rv
3. 6 of cups rv
Career wise I'm on track where I'm wanting to go and accomplishing what I want however, I have issues in the present that I need to get resolved because it's keeping me from fufilling what I want to fufill.
Knight of Swords representing him:
1. 4 of swords rv
2. Hanged Man
3.Three of swords rv
He's not a happy guy and he's not able to make a decision...a want his cake and eat it too . This is a guy who has trouble everywhere he goes. He is having trouble at work and quite possible could be losing his job due to bad decision, chaos...has trouble with women and constantly not able to get the attention he feels he wants.

Wow, swords versus cups. You've said he's your ex, seems you're far apart enough to cut him out a little further to distance the two of you. Once you get a bit more space between you I think 'his' card will stop showing up and when you do see the Knight it'll be you instead.

It was interesting that I got cups and he got swords..for me..swords always represents conflicts and turbalance and for him to get that says a lot...For me to get cups..I've always seen it as rest and being laidback...stability (i.e. sitting around at a pub tossing stories and drinking ale and having a merry time).
Got in touch with him yesterday and he wanted to reconcile and my new number..I told him...3 weeks things will be different so I have to think about it..may have to do a decision spread (not on moving that's going to happen) on the future of him and I>

Well, Swords are also words and actions (words 'cut', as to actions), and Cups are about the emotions inside us, all emotions not just love.

yes, I certainly agree, distance is the best bet when it comes to the Knight of Swords... it's a spooky card. I've seen that knight come up in spreads on several occasions to show physical violence. I'm not saying that is an issue in this case but it's better to be safe than sorry. good luck
