I have been experimenting with this form of reading.
I find that as long as the oracle and the chosen tarot deck have similarities they really do a wonderful job of clarifying a reading.
I currently have four oracles and three of them I pair up for readings. The Gothic Vargo and the Madame Endora cards go wonderful together. The Druid Animal Oracle with the DruidCraft and my Way of the Cartouche Cards with any of my four Egyptian Tarot decks.
Because it doubles the number of cards you read in the spread, it adds a lot more time to a reading. So I tend to stick with smaller spreads.
I like to use the tarot as the starting card, with the oracle card as a clarifier to support it.
Other than one reading that I attempted where I didn’t clarify the question very well, I have found that this combination method has brought a very powerful focus to the readings and accuracy was right up there.
Has anyone else ever experimented in this way? How did it work for you?

Though different to what Mercenary30 mentions, I have on some occasions used two decks during a reading: one for the spread, the other for clarifying or deepening purposes... likewise, I tend to use this for smaller spreads, and only quite rarely.

I have done some readings combining tarot and oracle. Specifically, I pulled a single Soul Card to get to the heart of the issue (this is used for general readings obviously) and then threw a spread with a tarot deck to read off this issue. I have been wanting to do some additional experimenting with this concept but haven't gotten around to it as of yet.
I also have been doing mulitple deck readings using the Reflecting Pools spread Gardener developed (I use five decks for online readings and generally three decks for face-to-face readings) but so far these have only been with tarot decks. Maybe I will try to incorporate of the few oracles I own into this spread for a future reading.

I've thought about using my Moon Oracle along with a tarot deck to get be able to predict timing for a spread. I've never actually gotten around to doing it though. Maybe I'll try it when I'm on break for the holidays...
I have seen others use tarot and an oracle together, and it made for a very interesting experience. I liked it.

I find the most intriguing part is when the oracle, with a different set of meanings and focus, lines right up with the position and the question, and almost always fits with the tarot it is supporting. It is like getting a second opinion in the same reading.....
