i have seen in a lot of books the interpretation of the 2 of wands as a very positive card meaning success. but when i look at this card i see more like small success. if anybody can help me to get the message of this card, would be very welcome.

Astrology depends on one simple agreement:
The Vernal Equinox is the fixed starting point.
Without this "hinge pin" upon which to rotate,
there would be little more than cosmic chaos
so far as having a reference to impose order.
Two of Wands is to the Tarot what March 21st
is to lucid vision~ a single, but Vital, milestone.

I've been reading the two as the formation of an idea from the raw energies of the ace, sort of like a birth. Like a newborn, the two of wands needs care and careful attention, and once the querent passes through the initial joy and excitement of the birth he or she may encounter a "post-natal" depression. When ideas are half-submerged within us they are still saturated with imaginative energy, but once they come out into the world we realize their frailties and limitations, and the immense amount of work ahead. This interpretation is mostly jacked from the Tarot of Prague, which is my absolute favorite deck.
