I guess I base my meanings on older books, I doubt I'll ever abandon my view of 2 being associated with duality, Perhaps if I did Pythagoras would rise from the grave and strike me down! LOL

I'm with you (and Pythagoras) on that one. I just think Jodo is a bit eccentric on that one. Although you can argue that you need duality in order to create, and therefore duality is, in itself, a type of gestation.

Or a cause, at least. Good point!
And if you take 2 as representative of yin/yang turning--one into the other--that's also a duality that creates in the evolution from one to the other. (As each element contains the seed of the other--always 2 entities and something else emerging.)
Did that make sense?

Absolute sense! You just have to see the II Cups in the TdM to see that third entity emerging. I am struggling with this 2, partly because it means so much around us, and also because my soul card is II-Papesse/High Priestess, so I feel I ought to understand what it can mean!!
This is probalby another thread in the making...
