Hi,
I did a mini reading yesterday to aske about her hip. She has alays had a stiff left hip and she asked if i could use the tarot to find out the cause.
I layed out 2 cards to ask-Where did this come from- The Sun, The Emporor
How can I heal this-Judgement, The fool.
Right, looking at the cards, i didnt like what i saw, the 1st row i took to mean either in During birth from an authority (doctor? more likeley to be the magician card?) or in childhood from a father figure, the healing part I read as to forget about the injury, accept it has happend, dont dwell over it and start a new?
I told my friend I did not understand the cards at all, perhaps the judgement and the fool were telling me that i should not tell her what i have found/ That its better for her to stay in ignorance? Perhaps im reading this wrong?
Help!
Thanks

This is one of those difficult questions to address. You are to be congratulated in trying to deal with this. I can offer a few thoughts, noting that I don't have enough time at this moment to go into this in depth.
Both pairs of cards are of the major arcana -- this is serious stuff. The Sun card, often associated with vitality and strength of body and intellect, is often depicted with someone leaving the garden or area of wholeness. This card might be seen as one who dares to leave a place of wholeness. The other card in the first pair, the Emperor, can represent one who rules and decides upon issues with force, within a set of guidelines and goals, and may be a little like the follow-on Hierophant in some ways. Together, this pair could be seen as one who has 1) spiritually chosen to deal with an infirmity or 2) has developed an infirmity due to someone's pride and obstinent belief in a course of action that didn't meet the needs of the querent. This could have been a doctor or parent who didn't follow the right course of action.
The second pair, is also very spiritual. Judgement often represents an opportunity for one to recognize that they need to rise above something. The Fool suggests that they need to act of faith in this matter. So your comment that they should forget about this problem and do what they can do seems highly appropriate for a reading. My sense is that the cards are NOT telling you to avoid saying what is in your heart and mind. They are telling you a clear message so that you can pass it on. How your querent feels about that and deals with it is another issue. You are just the talented messenger. Good luck in gently passing along your insights in a helpful way. That is, afterall, the most difficult part of reading in some cases. Dave.
