Ouchies... What cards for injuries?

Well, I so stupidly twisted my ankle and I'm using crutches because I can't seem to walk on my foot.. I kept getting 2 cards in my readings.. The 10 swords and 6 wands Rx. I've heard 10 swords being back pain but can it relate to injuries? Also some reason I'm feeling the 6 wands rx relating to embarrasment.. Because I fell down the steps and my Husband and Father inlaw came running when I did it.. I was definitly red faced after that mess LOL

Just wondering what cards would relate to something of that nature... I think I was getting a warning about it..but Since I'm still learning.. i am not sure.

Thanks!
Silver

LOL. Those two cards certainly sound like a comment on your situation. Tell your cards to stop jeering at you, and offer you some positive reinforcement instead, ferchrissakes...

Haha!!! I know!! I'm a mess... TO bad I didn't understand the warning until after I became a mangled mess down the steps LOL Thankfully I didn't break anything! lol apparently they were remarking on my ability to fall and trip on command!! :-)

Thanks Firemaiden!!!

Wow, falling flat (10 of Swords) and three pairs of crutches with no fun in claiming responsibility for what happened (6 of Wands Rev.). I don't think I would have seen that one coming either. You'd think the crippled people on the 5 of Pents would have shown up instead. Or the 6 of Swords as a wheelchair or something.

I found an interesting list pertaining to this:

Eyesight problems - could be symbolized with the Emperor or Sun, Reversed

Ulcer or Stomach problems - Chariot, Reversed

Menstrual or Female problems - High Priestess, R or the Moon, R or Queen Cups, R.

Heart Problems - Strength, R, Sun, R or the 3 of Swords

Back Pain - 10 Swords and/or 10 of Wands

Recuperation or Hospitalization could be represented by the 4 of Swords

Mental Breakdown - the Tower Card

Depression or Anxiety - 9 Swords, 5 Pentacles, or the Star, R

Arthritis - 10 of Wands, Devil, R; or the World, R.

Skin Allergies - Chariot, R.

Migraines - Emperor, R or Ace of Swords, R.

Sore throats or thyroid conditions - Empress, R.

Intestinal Problems - Hermit, R.

Kidney infections - Justice, R.

Accidents - Wheel of Fortune, R., Chariot R., The Tower Card

Foot problems - Hanged Man, R; Moon, R and Page of Cups, R.

Some Symbols in the pictures that I have found to represent some health problems are as follows:

Red canopy can represent menstrual problems.

Tree roots could represent a person being rooted in a problem.

Lighting bolts could be headaches.

Puffy face could signify a weight gain.

Red throat decoration could signify a sore throat

However, this is one person's opinion - your own readings such as the one you gave for yourself should gradually build up into your own list.

Very interesting, I've been looking for a list like that thx for sharing.

Also, I'd have thought 6 wands Rx would indicate a general fall from grace, I suppose it could also be meant literally aswell...

One thing that's pertinent from the list is all the Reversals - what about those that don't shuffle for reversed cards?

I think things like this can also be deeply personal. For example the Eight of Swords thread as Mental Illness. That card will now hold extra significance to that reader because of the very vivid nature of the reading.

I was surprised that the Fool came up for Alzheimers once, but it did make perfect sense.

It does seem to be subjective. Depending on the feel of the card and the image, you could have a wide range of things show for specific illnesses, and not necessarily the obvious ones either.

Thanks for sharing the list.. I kept also getting the 3 swords and I wasn't sure what it was telling me.. well come to find out my little brother has a heart defect... and he needs open heart surgery... I normally wouldn't associate it but I got an uneasy feeling witht he card.. and now looking back I believe It was speaking about this issue... or trying to tell me. I feel awkward associating major things especially with my little brothers situation but I wasn't trying.. Good ol intuition was trying to help me get insight before the news... Ah well.

Thank you again for the list!

Yes! The Fool for Alzheimers - going back to being a child again - not only are you dependent on others as you were as a child but many people only remember things from their childhood. Also innocence, each day you are stepping out into a brand new world because you can't remember what yesterday held for you. What a brilliant interpretation!

And the three of Swords for heart problems also makes perfect sense. Came up for me with someone who'd just had a heart bypass. Often comes up for heart surgery. The Tarot can be so literal sometimes! Sometimes all we need is that image!

I remember once some one here got the 5 Cups for their daily card after they had been to the dentist and got a tooth pulled out, they said the spilt wine looked like their blood the missing 2 cups their teeth!

Pipistrelle  03 Feb 2005
A coupla months back I had the 9 of Swords as my daily card - I knew why the minute I bashed my leg on an open drawer - PAIN!

Big purple bruise for a week....ouch.

I started getting the 10 of Swords when I started getting body piercings. I know they're not accidental injuries, but the card certainly was literal for that! lol

The four of swords comes up a lot for me in regards to injuries...usually the really stupid ones caused by stress or rushing around or not paying attention!

And often it is followed by...or preceeded by the 10 of swords in a spread.

The 4 is often the card of the warning..."Stop and rest NOW...or the Universe will find a way to MAKE you stop!"

And if it's not an injury...then it refers to that stupid cold that puts you under for a day!
