Tarot prayer

Does anybody here say a prayer before they do a reading and/or afterwards? If so, what do you say? Do you feel it helps you connect with Spirit more? I'd be interested in hearing from others about this. As for me, I ask for guidance from my spirit guides, and thank them at the end of the reading. Not a prayer as such, but just something that i do mentally. It helps me connect to Spirit.

I used to, but now I just shuffle and lay the spread. Maybe I should take up the practice again... Thank you Astroltina for bringing it back to my attention, it would be a wonderful way to connect to Spirit. Sezo x

Here is a little something I like to say as I'm shuffling the cards right before I get ready to read. "Cards of vision please help me to see. What was, what is and what will be. And by the power of 3 x's 3, so I can help *name here* who sits down before me." Sometimes if I am just reading them for me, I say 'so i can help those who sit down...' I find that it grounds me and gets me ready to get in there and really do the work, even if it's just for fun. And afterward I simply say "thank you." I hope this helps.

hmm just interested, on the topic of divine guidance, Has anyone ever tried to project their spiritual energy onto the querent? Does it work?

Everyone's rituals will no doubt be different, and that's good. I simply try to center myself and invoke the guidance of the Spirit. I also end my session with a simple act of gratitude. Peace and blessings to all.........Michael

I sit down and feel the cards. whan I feek ready I start to read. but as I learn more and more on the cards, I see that they are the givers. and if I need them and want them, they are going to give me their best.
