Can somebody please help me out? I've asked the tarot about someone's feelings towards me, and the justice card keeps popping up...i'm curious to what this could mean...this person and i have a sort of romantic online relationship, and i can't decide on whether or not Justice is a good sign or a bad sign when it comes to a person's feelings. The Justice card is a quite neutral card isn't it?

Perhaps the card indicates that one of you (or both) are still weighing the pros and cons of progressing the relationship further. In this way, the card is similar to the 2 of Swords.

the card is similar to the 2 of Swords.
Ive never thought of that! Ive tried to tie certain minor and major's together but havent really thought about all of them. This has also happened to me mariskiss, and it is (out of experience) a time of ambivilance, and balance, even if you arent trying. I also think it means nothing is happening or will happen for the time being until some of the stuff is at least subconsciously worked out.

Justice can mean many things such as: the decisions you make now will have an effect: cause and effect. Every action has a reaction. Justice isn't blindfolded and to me, has no real relation to the Two of Swords. She isn't blindfolded because she can see the results of actions. She is objective and weighs things fairly - not fair in the sense of being fair to you - but fair in a way of karma. What goes around comes around, the result is good or bad depending on the actions that caused the result.
She is about accepting responsibility for your actions and being able to see how they interconnect. She is aware. She can also mean making a decision objectively as you look towards the future. Not only being aware of the rule of three but being aware of future consequences. Being responsible for what you have caused, acknowledgement and everything that goes with that.
Truth and Justice - they go together and she points out the truth in the situation even if you don't like it. Also, if you are faced with a difficult decision and are trying to do what is right as opposed to the easy way. Acting in a fair and unbiased way, sticking to your principles.
Of course, she can also mean courts, court cases and the law.
Yes Justice is 'neutral' and that may be positive or negative depending on the outcome you wanted. She is always fair but other cards may indicate an injustice towards you or another person.
So, as usual with Tarot - it depends on the other cards;)
Edited to say: Look at where Justice sits in the Trumps. Between The Wheel of Fortune and The Hanged Man.
The Wheel of Fortune can indicate fate or something beyond your control. A turning point or everything speeding up. Justice is where and how that process lands. Where you can gather the pieces and view them objectively. Work out where it all went wrong or right. Weigh up the pros and cons and decide on a future course. The Wheel is also about luck and opportunity but something that looked like luck could also turn out to bring bad consequences or mis Fortune.
The Hanged Man - to me - has similar meanings to the Wheel - it can also mean to 'be'. Surrendering to experience and giving up to experience. But it's the next step from Justice, maybe this time round you have more experience and know this is what you should do. It's a more conscious decision because it comes with hindsight.

I suggest that you do a reading with the Justice card as the significator, and ask for details. This always helps me when a card keeps showing up and I'm not sure what it's about.

This is a very interesting question. Indeed, what might the Justice card mean in a love question?

Let's remember that you've have an online relationship here. You haven't met this person in person, have you? No wonder you're getting Justice--which is typically seen as Libra, an Air-sign and not all surprising for a relationship that's all virtual and words on a screen. As Air-sign answers go, the Lovers would be better, the Star (indicating a distant hope) probably not as good. But Libra's fine.
You asked what this person feels about you. And they feel, given what they're READING, on-line, that the two of you are in perfect balance. When reading your words, this person feels a harmony, a meeting of equals.
That's how this person feels. You may want more powerful feelings, but it's on-line and that may be limiting what this person feels. Perhaps the cards will offer a stronger response to the question if/when you meet this person in person.

From "It's All in the Cards" - "Openness and honesty are called for. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."

I consulted my old tarot journal for Justice. I wrote this about the Marseille (Camoin) VIII - Justice card:
"She has that smouldering, black look in her eyes I recognise, the mix of calm but deep feeling and thinking together.
Holding experience - not judging, but weighing, balancing feeling and thinking, a cool dark energy smoulders from her eyes, as brain cells mix and turn... a deep calm, standing back, and just being, while walking slowly, looking, taking it in."
Perhaps it is too soon to judge. :)

But look at the world wide web. A web of interconnecting relationships, has undertones of wyrd. It fits nicely with Justice which can deal with the ripples of Karma.
I would say that the card is advising you to go into this with your eyes open and balance the positive and negative equally. It follows the Wheel of Fortune in the RWS deck. Going with the flow, going where chance will take you, being swept up by events or circumstances - which is how you may have entered this but now it's time for serious consideration.
How does he feel about me? He is balancing real life against fantasy and maybe deciding whether to take this further. He is deciding to go into this with his eyes open, although he can't physically see; he can be aware of what he's getting himself into.

I agree with Rusty Neon and other opinions above. Nice inputs in this thread.
To me, when talking about love, Justice means putting in order the feelings and trying to make them consciously clear for you.
Do you remember that “game” people used to do pulling out the petals from a daisy while asking: “Does he/she love me?” “Yes, no, yes, no…” until the last petal on the flower gave the answer? Well… Justice is something similar, but asking “do I love him/her?” analyzing each of those yes/no and giving reasons for them.
I know feelings have no reasons most of the time, one feels something or doesn’t, but we need to know the "why" of them. One can see Justice as having a brain and a heart on each plate of the scales respectively. It’s trying to get equilibrium between reason and emotions, because sometimes they tell different things and show different paths to us.
When Justice comes in a love reading representing one of the persons involved, probably the relationship looks quiet in the exterior, but is evolving inside that person. Justice is a card centred on the present (its looking at you) but has a deep projection both in future and past since its taking account about causes and consequences to make balance. When the decision is made, his/her internal considerations will affect and move the relationship forward in an exterior and visible level (for good or bad).

Thank you all so much for your responses, they've really given a clearer insight on the situation.
By the way, as I as mentioned, it is a sort of online romance but we actually met in person FIRST! We hit if off and have kept in touch all this time. Since we live in different countries we use the computer to communicate, and through this our relationship has progressed.
That's the problem....the doubts set in, what is THE NEXT STEP??...DECISIONS....hence JUSTICE. Where is this relationship headed to?? Is there a future for the relationsip to become more? How do we get there, what needs to be established???..AHHHHH!!!

I suggest you do a spread using Justice as the significator and post it in the Readings forum:)

WHOA....i just did a spread with JUSTICE in the middle as the significator....Using the majors only, I was initially planning on choosing and placing 3 cards around JUSTICE to the left, above, and right of it...but then i thought no, 2 would be enough to get the full meaning....well as i was shuffling and concentrating all the sudden 3 cards jumped out of the deck...so I took this as a sign to use these 3 cards since initially i was going to use 3 anyways...I got the EMPRESS to left, THE LOVERS above, and DEATH to the right of JUSTICE...I have to say that seeing this made me quite happy, since the original question was and always has been "What are his feelings towards me?" These cards around JUSTICE suggest strong romantic feelings, with DEATH to symbolize a re-birth, or a new beginning of something, or would that just be wishful thinking on my part?

Actually, you should probably read this as the two sides of the scales with the third as the center, the balancing rod in-between.
Thus, on the one side you have The Empress, life, abundance, and nuturing. On the other side you have "death"--which, if we go with the assignment of scorpio, can also be sex. What balancing these forces? The Lovers, which is all about good communication and finding your soul mate.
The question "what does this person feel about you?" is thus answered: On the one side, he feels raw sexual attraction (death), which isn't going to lead to anything more. Yes, Death usually relates to re-birth, but it also means an END, then a time of grieving, then re-birth. So that side puts the relationship to an end, and onto something else.
On the other side there are more tender feelings; you might say, he "respects you," and feels great affection toward you. But once again, this isn't a card indicating that he sees you as an equal or a partner.
What's keeping the balance and promise here is the way the two of you communicate over the internet (Lovers). In other words, sometimes he feels that he just wants to have sex with you--then he talks to you, realizes you're more than just a sex object, and balance is restored. Next time around, he feels you're his best, sympathetic female friend--nothing sexual about it, someone who will nurture and care for him. But then you talk and, again, the balance is restored, he realizes you're more than that.
You see the problem. Somehow or other, this see-sawing needs to become a synthesis--the card you want, eventually, in answer to this question is Temperance. That's when you'll know that he's finally merged all those aspects into one girlfriend, someone who's sexual, nurturing AND an equal.

Justice has feelings afterall...last night he told me that he loves me!!! And I said it back of course. Which was a weird coincedence because just last night I posted my results of the JUSTICE as a significator reading asking about his feelings towards me. I totally freaked out...in a good way!!!
Thanks for your insight everyone and Thirteen, I've always seen the death card as a positive card because in every reading I've done it's always been very positive...but you are right... what you said about first grieving, first an end and then a rebirth....it's true. I've just totally realized that side of death, and what it means now. I've been exremely worried and sad about this situation(At times I've felt like the 10 of swords!!) wondering if he feels the same way about me or if this relationship had a chance....that has all changed now after last night-and end to my worries and doubts and the beginning of a new love!! It's incredible, and I still can't believe it myself.
