I get a lot of jumpers, especially lately since I can't seem to connect very well to my cards... I was shuffling to pull my Daily card(s) and The 7 of Swords came out with the 3 of cups... I have tried to come up with what I think it could be... With the 7 of swords there I was a bit nervous.. or uncomfortable.. I assumed it has something to do with a group situation.. Someone trying to get away with something with in a friendship? but I do not feel that is the message... Curious what other's feel about this combination?
Thank you and Blessings!

Using the "Tarot Challenge" two-card reading method:
7 of Swords as Situation shows "there are weak elements,
or untruthful or untrustworthy persons, involved..."
3 of Cups as Challenge shows "that even though we would
rather play than work, there is still more work to be done.
We need to bring a little discipline into our lives."
from:
The Heart of the Tarot : The Two-card Layout
by Sandra Thomson, Signe Echols, Bobby Mueller
(co-authors of The Lovers' Tarot and Spiritual Tarot)
The Tarot Challenge layout focuses on two key cards,
often referred to as the "Heart of the Tarot" which the
book uses the Rider and Robin Wood Tarot examples.

Fulgour, Thank you for replying!
I'm still not positive what the message is about still...but I think I have an idea... Oh joy! lol

Hmmm... Here's one possibility:
Maybe you're approaching a person (people) or a situation from a position that is somewhat defensive in nature, or perhaps even antagonistic (7S). This approach really isn't solving anything or getting you very far. The 3C is admonishing you to let your guard down and be a bit more convivial. Rather than seeing yourself in opposition to the others, see yourself in harmony with them.

Oh! Wait... another thought:
Come to think of it, the interpretation I just gave might even apply to how you're feeling toward your deck. You mentioned that you're not connecting well with your cards lately. Maybe they're trying to tell you something.

What's a jumper? Is that like a card that jumps out when you are shuffling? I tend to call those "flipped cards" as they flip out when shuffling....I tend to include them in the reading too.

Yes, They are usually the ones that flip out.. but these literally Jumped out of my deck and on to the floor which to me means READ ME!!! lol I also got a couple cards that did this again tonight.. just seems to be the way they try and communicate.. I'm pretty hard headed LOL Normally though mine just flip over in my hands.. and don't go anywhere. I also try to add but I didn't even get a chance to ask anything.. so the message was something that wasn't a part of my question.

I had that with a reading I did with my Madame Endora Fortune cards lately. I asked two question (and pulled 3 cards for each for more insight). One additional card flipped/jumped out for each question. I always include them in my reading. But the two additional cards did not seem related to the reading, although the two were both on teh same topic. Like the universe was saying. Okay, here are the answers you asked for, and now here is something else I need you to know. It just told me to "expect news from a far--someone far away would soon contact me"

I have to agree with what has already been said, but I would like to add a little to it. The 7/sw, could be about picking up the pieces, looking to the future for a fresh start. Maybe seeking wisdom in a given situation. I normally look at the 3/c, as referring to unity, in some form. Whether it be forming a union, or building on one that already exist. I also look at the comfort that union brings, not necessiarly happiness, but joy, celebration, and peace of mind from knowing that you are not going it alone, or finally being able to move forward, because of the help the union gives you. This is not necessiarly with people, for example a new job would be a union between you and the company. If you are new or somewhat new the union could be between you and the cards.
Just a few thoughts to hopefully help you interpert the meaning the cards want you to know.
