In the 4 of cups there is a cloud with a hand comming out of it with a cup. Does make refence to the Ace of cups. That the man id refusing to take what the hand is offering?? He has 3 cups on the ground. But he is happy with the three and oes not want the fourth even it will bring him more joy to his life. (ace of cups) What do you think this card might mean. Is there a relation between this and the ace of cups.

In simple geometry 3 point make a plane, the forth creates depth. From this I look at the 4 of cups as the "honeymoon's over" card. The three is a jubilant celbreation, but because three make merely a plane, and hence just an image, I find the celebration to perhaps be a superficial one. The fourth cup is being offered out of love just like the first one in the Ace is. But the path of love and emtions has it's up and downs and many want to stop at the first place of comfort. The 4 indicates an invitation into the depths which though likely far more rewarding, is often scary at first. Such acceptance requires leaving the surface fun of the three.
Hope that helps!
Love, understanding, and compassion,
Matt
