I know almost nothing about astrology or how horoscopes are made but wanted to do horoscopes for my zine that I write. So I used the Tarot, pulling one card for each sign. Everyone so far has said it's been pretty accurate. Anyone else ever done this? What's you all's opinion about it?

There's a spread called "The Zodiac Wheel" which is a circle of twelve cards. Each stands in the place of a Zodiac sign and indicates an aspect of the person's (the querent who'd been read for) life.
Aries, for example, represents the self image, Taurus what the querent values, Gemini is siblings or messages, etc. I use it a lot and find it a wonderfully accurate and insightful spread.

Well, from what I've learned so far, Court Cards are
definite representers of the zodiac:
Aries-Knight of Wands
Taurus-Queen of Pentacles
Gemini-Knight of Swords
Cancer-King of Cups
Leo-Queen of Wands
Vigro-Knight of Pentacles
Libra-King of Swords
Scorpio-Queen of Cups
Sagittarius-King of Wands
Capricorn-King of Pentacles
Aquarius-Queen of Swords
Pisces-Knight of Cups
Note: Pages mean the use of it's suit - they are note included in the zodiac chart.
This is very interesting, because every court card I
mentioned has the same personality description
as it's star sign!

If one makes particular astrological correlations with the Courts, and further makes of the courts personality descriptions, then the correlations assumed will of course take on the shades of the astrological description.
This can be useful if one wants to make those correlations - but, as pointed out (I am sure) in other threads, this does not make the correlation intrinsic to the court cards.
The examplar correlation given above works from an existing elemental attribution to each suit. Again, if one works from this basis, it may give certain additional information - but this will also, of course, depend on the deck one uses.
As an example, the Spanish El Gran Esoterico, in which Swords are correlated with Water, would definitely not associate the Air astrological signs to any of the Sword courts.

Astrology - as astrology and in the casting of horoscopes - probably needs to be studied independly.
I personally would suggest getting a person who understands the basic structure of a horoscope to write the article suggested, even if another dimension is added by suggesting that further insight to each house or sign may also be gained by drawing a card as well.
