Missing Card

The other day I decided I wanted to straighten out my cards...

Well I laid them out and organized them all out majors, cups, wands, swords, pentacles... and I discovered that I'm missing the 2 of wands. I have no idea where it may have gone or when exactly I'd lost it.

Looking through my notes I've noticed that I haven't had it turn up in any readings for several months. That could be because it was gone or just that it wasn't meant for that reading...

I looked all over but to no avail and my question is this...

Since I don't know exactly when I lost it does this invalidate any/all of the readings I've done lately?

Do I HAVE to get another tarot deck or can I use a substitute card from a similarly sized deck? Will the their 'energies' clash?

Hi osami,

I don't think the energies of cards from two different decks will clash, as I think the only energy a deck has is what we put into it. The only problem for me would be that this card from another deck probably has a different back so I would also know where that card was.
I don't know what deck you use - for many decks you can contact the publisher and they will send you another card if you lost one. It certainly would not hurt to try.

I don't think it will completely invalidate all your readings - after all, you only lost one card and that card could only have come up in one position. The bigger picture in your readings will still be valid.

I did contact a publisher before but they never sent the missing card; it turned up under the sofa a while later, lol. However, I have heard that many publishers have followed through with the request.

I recently lost the Empress from my Morgan Greer. I couldn't even look at it, knowing that one was missing. I looked everywhere. Then, a week ago, I was sifting through a drawer in another room and there she was - hiding down the side. Hopefully, your card will turn up soon. Sometimes, I wonder if it happens for a reason. I really got into my Marseille around that point; something I needed to do, so maybe she slipped off for a while to allow me to do that.

Hope it turns up soon.

Just a thought: Is there an extra card in your pack - one of the ones that shows a title. Maybe you could use that for a while, until one is either replaced or the original found, just as a substitute. You would have a full deck then - remembering that that one is the card that is missing.

Hi Osami:

You might want to ask for help to find the card in the divination forum, they have helped me before and it is definitely worth the try!

love,

Clau
