I have had the Emperor card come in readings for my SIL several times and I have tried to figure out who this would represent and there is no authority figure immediately apparent to me. I'm pretty sure it's not her husband, her father or her boss so is it a reflection of her and her "attributes"? I don't recall the particular spreads, just that several times over the past few months, whenever I do a spread pertaining to her, that card will be somewhere in the reading.

The Emperor
Stand up to the plate and take responsibility for your life & actions.
The card may be telling you to take control.
Just an idea!

I'm sorry, I don't know what a SIL is.
Is she someone who's a bit of a stickler for rules?
Does she like to think things through very logically?
Is she looking at a situation in a very rigid or narrow way?
Maybe she needs to take a more structured approach to something?
Love
Sulis xx

It's sister-in-law sulis. :) Isee it as more of personnal strength and guidance. For her I mean.

Sorry, SIL is short for sister-in-law, MIL mother-in-law, etc.
She is very structured, now that you mention it. She is aware of people's rights and feelings, very "justice" minded if that makes sense. Two phrases I hear from her a lot are "they should..." and "it's not fair...". Yet she is a very sympathetic individual, feels others' pain to the point it's sometimes a problem.
Is that an Emperor-ish person?

I´d say that definitely sounds "emperor-ish", a good leader is sympathetic and aware of those that are around, instead of thick-headed and oblivious to how their rule affects others, as an Emperor rx might refer to.
An Emperor keeps the kingdom happy, or else he will be emperor no more.

One interpretation I use for the Emperor is "foundations for future success" This would be a good time for her to lay down her plans for her future workwise or financially. I also find that number 4 is the number of stability, and I urge the querents to take advantage of this card and works towards material security and stability in their lives

as the card keeps popping up perhaps the situation is still latent, you say she is aware of others rights etc, perhaps this is what the card is trying to say, help them know their rights and find their feet,so to speak. After all the emperor did not become emperor by doing nothing!. Or pehaps she just needs to develop some of the emperors more dynamic attributes or even just do her own thing instead of doing it for some one else

I see the emp as telling me that a person either HAS, or NEEDS, order & method & organization in their life and their mind.

The Emperor indicates someone who does well in a highly-structured environment. Does this sound like your SIL?
