I just read this in a book. Is this generally accepted as true?

Destiny only becomes Fate after it happens,
and as both words imply, all we know is...?
Tarot can provide a framework for imagining
where "you" begin and the world leaves off,
but in the all and all of it ~growth is wisdom.
And I'd say the "Minors" oft do much betoken.

for me the minors signify that in the grand scheme of things this is minor, where as the majors represent decisions thatwill have a major impact on the path of life and where you are going. does that make sense?
for example if i do a spread and get alot of majors i realize that this is a choice that will effect the next few years... the more majors the bigger the impact.

I agree. If there are many majors, then that is kind of a warning sign that say "pay attention!" I would never assume that a tarot reading means that something is out of my hands, or that it is my destiny, because that would somehow, at leasy in most cases, defeat the purpose of a Tarot reading at all. what is the point of knowing what is to happen if you cannot change it?
