I was given a used Scarpini deck as a birthday gift last month.
Well..my friend who gave me the deck has now grown into my world
as a love interest!
I don't know how to go about using this deck without a moment of
knowing who it came from.
I haven't used it for any readings...I've cleansed the cards as his mom
was the previous owner, though my friend said he look through the cards
and there was no interest for him in the deck.
I'm curious under these circumstances what's the best way to use this deck?
Should I use it mainly to see what, where a relationship may start with this young man??
very curious about this... I won't be seeing my friend until August
as he's on a field study trip for the summer.
thoughts anyone??

Why don't you ask the deck (in a reading) how it wants to be used - and what your relationship (with the deck) will be? The answer is right there in front of you :)
Cool story btw! I hope it works out for the two of you (and this time I don't mean the deck ;))

what is the best spread to ask the deck about this scenario?
Depends what you want to know! I recently used a Celtic Cross to help me get a fix on a guy in terms of his character and to see if I was right about my feelings for him. I was lucky, as I was able to discuss it with him and he was completely open with me and said there and then that it helped him to focus and that it highlighted some issues he needed to deal with. It also enabled him to talk about some things that were bothering that he'd not been able to discuss with anyone else. I was also lucky in that every card fell exactly where I would have put it if I'd deliberately chosen them. I have known him for years in a work environment but we'd never so much as been for a drink together until we met up just over a month ago. By the second time I met him I'd done the reading and started to discuss it with him. In case you can use it, this is how I set it out:
.......................5......................11..........10.............12
.............4........1/2........6.........................9
........................3....................................8
..............................................................7
1. His basic nature
2. What's of paramount concern to him at this time?
3. His strengths
4. The influences he's moving away from
5. His weaknesses
6. How he's developing
7. How he likes to present himself to the world
8. Characteristics he likes to keep to himself
9. His hopes/fears
10. What advice will assist him?
11. What can he expect if he ignores the advice?
12. How will things develop if he chooses to accept the advice?
I can say that to date the relationship is going frighteningly well!
Edited to add - if you do choose to use it, I suggest you post in the Your Readings forum as it can be hard to interpret, say, an apparently negative card into something positive - for instance, my "advice" was the Page of Swords: a card I have real problems viewing postively. No wonder - I realised later it was pointing to his ex-girlfriend!!!
