ive done a reading for myself and got the tower as advice card

Whats blocking my confidence- 2 wands

Whats blocking my spontenity -2 cups

Whats should i do to remove these blocks- The tower

The fact that the 1st 2 cards are 2 suggests that im focusing on what other poeple think?

The tower as an advice cards suggests CHANGE to me, i asked for a clarification card and i got

Hi QueenofKingh

It does look like you worry about what other people think with having 2 2's. The tower is really a Great card, it brushes away the debris and things that are no longer needed in your life. Your self-confidence is a bit on shakey ground, like there is no foundation, why else would it fall, it can be hurt quite easily to what people say and think, therefore, you have to stop being a "victim" not take everything personally, you need to strengthen your foundation so that you won't be easily shattered, let go of the "victimhood" when you don't react anymore, when you don't feel hurt, then you know your security is on solid ground. It's of getting rid of "Old beliefs and attitudes that no longer serve you"

Notice that after The Tower, you pulled the Ace of Wands. You went from two wands, to one wand.

I agree that it looks like you're counting on others to boost your self-confidence. I see the Tower as telling you that you see the problem, now you have to tear down all the thinking that isn't helping you, and start from the bottom up, building what works for you to have your own self-confidence. Once you do that, you won't be relying on others, but only on yourself.

I think here; the ace of wands and tower complement eachother very well..
The advice is that you should really let go of what's holding you back so that you can make a fresh beginning with ace of wands..

The two 2s i think can indicate that you may have a tendency to depend on the other parties and this may be the reason why your confidence can't make a climax because maybe you are used to hear or follow the majority in some situations in your life and this is not really serving you and maybe you are being a softheart in some situations and compromise a lot;maybe it's because you want to meet everyone's expectations and it's not helping anything, actually it weakens you?..and again as the tower may indicate the thoughts of the majority is useless for you,so just erase all of them from your memory and be original follow your own gut and be brave(ace of wands) :)

Just some thoughts...

I really like the Tower. To me the advice would be to release old patterns and beliefs that are holding you back, because they are ready to be transformed into a fresh new way of being (Ace of Wands). It's like personal growth happening before your eyes. Enjoy the process!

This might sound obscure, but I have found that the Tower can signify, at its primal level, a time when one loses their current paradigm. I also see the emphasis on the opinions of others as being of detriment to you in this situation. The remedy? Quit thinking that way = lose your current mode of thought, your mental constructs.

Easier said than done, right?

The Tower suggests that that which was not built on love, compassion and truth, will begin to crumble. That which remains is what you need to hold to, it will not change, despite all the other changes necessary, or asked of you, in this. The Truth is revealed, which is always a positive, although often painful in the process, at times.

The Tower here would point to the simplest message: "Change your Mind and you will change your World." Believe in yourself, look inward instead of outward for the approval you may seek.

Be brave indeed! :D

I sometimes see the Tower as a positive card in dealing with issues which you need to be released from.

A kind of.. 'act now, or things can get worse' card.

It can appear as a reminder to take action into your own hands particularly where you are restricted. It's telling you to do something now before it gets out of all proportion.

The 2 of Wands as representing the blockage to your confidence may signify the point before we set out to do something, or go somewhere. It may be that you are nervous, or more careful about making decisions that may have ramifications upon your life. You might not be an impulsive person, instead prefering to err on the side of caution. I say this because the 3 of Wands to me indicates the start of some kind of journey (in whatever sense that may be), therefore the 2 of Wands can be seen to represent that moment before we decide to embark upon that journey.

The 2 of Cups as representing the blockage to your spontaneity might also signify some kind of safety in remaining in the same position. Balance, and calm. It might feel safer to remain in that situation, rather than take a risk and become impulsive. I have just had a ridiculous thought. The 2 of Cups might be seen as a drink between friends, and then the 3 of Cups might be seen as a whole crowd of friends perhaps having one too many drinks! The 2 in that case would again represent caution, and the tendency to be sensible.

Perhaps the Tower is advising you to be slightly more impulsive in order to change this? Take some risks? I say this because the Tower would suggest a completely new outlook, perspective or aspect of yourself.

Ofcourse, I could be babbling. :D

I see the 2 of wands, as fear of upsetting what you have in place already. The 2 of cups as fear of what others think (as you said yourself)

the tower is a break out card: dump all past assumptions and GO! The Ace is saying plant yourself in yourself. In other words, do what YOU feel is right, no matter what others think (A damn the torpedos, full speed ahead! sort of thing.)

In my deck of choice (the WorldTree) the tower is what you have after you have cleared out everything, by explosion or other distruction. If you clear out all the assumptions, all the suggestions of others, what do YOU what to be happening? Then (the ace of wands) DO IT!

BTW: Brave is what you are, when you are scared, but do it anyway.

I always have to snikker to myself when I see those who do not live in war or earthquake zones discuss what a "good" card the Tower is. It sucks!!

But it does clean up non-essentials. As an advice card it tells you to get real and get rid of the prissy-fussy stuff yourself or someone else will do it for you.

The Tower, to me, represents seeing things for what they REALLY are, rather than what you want them to be.

So, in your situation, it's a need to strip away the things that are blocking you from seeing things as they are. Take off the blinders, and look at the bigger picture.

But, that's merely my opinion, and only one of many.

Queenofkingh  28 Jun 2005
Oh my gosh!

So many reponces, thank you!

the messege that runs though the posts is for me to let go of outmoded behavour, for me to be myself. I will try, im in a situation where i dont really know who *I* am. I hope this makes sence. I wish that tower card could mean some external factor that jolts me into rembering who I am and what I want! I will begin to say whats on my mind and not worry about what others think or feel about me, after all, im not that bad!

Thank q :)
